Source of your Username

Honestly, my Username was just a space filler because I originally signed up on the forums just so I could lurk in the forums (this was when you had to login to read the forums) and not really interact. Eventually though I started interacting annnnd now I'm stuck with an arbitrary handle. Perhaps if I ask nice to the admins, they can I change it to something more badass like Diamondback or Captain Murphy or something.
 
My username has a bit of a story. During 6th form we had to take an extra class in a random language, the choices being Urdu, Latin, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese and Italian. I chose Japanese for the challenge, and it turned out I was the only one to choose it. My teacher called me (my name)-Chan during classes, and my friends started calling me Chan, which kinda stuck as my nickname to this day. The 'Bob' comes from the fact that back home it was a sign of affection to tack 'Bob' onto the end of people's names for no reason in particular, so Chan became Chanbob.

Pretty much anything in a Slavic language sounds cool, even simple things like colors. Good choice of a name.

Perfectly suited to this forum too. I'm surprised "Bob-chan" and "Barb-chan" never became as widely used as "Chris-chan"
 
From an incident when my boyfriend and I started dating. My friend was over visiting when he called and asked if he could come by. I told him that wouldn't be a problem because it was just me and my BFF. When he arrived, my friend was in the bathroom and the only thing he saw was the bottle of Ketel One on the coffee table to which he said, "So, Vodka's Your BFF?"

My user name is kinda random, i didn't wanted to use one of my two favourite usernames because i didn't thought that they would work on a place like this... so, i just chosed the name of the species of my furry character and i added the femboi because... well, i just wanted to come up with something... and then people here confused me with some spergy guy and with some guy that posted noodz on the interwebs... so, yeah...

No, it was a woman. I didn't really consider it derogatory although I'm pretty sure it should have been -San, I think she was just attached to her students and treated us more as a little family, almost. A ways through the course some more students joined the class and she really used to mother us all a bit, making us little care packages and such. She was a sweetie!

I took a Japanese course over the summer in college and my instructor was just awesome. She really seemed to like all of us, and frequently brought in little snacks and things for our class (it was only five of us, all American, and we were studying abroad on a student exchange program to Osaka.) She once brought in a kimono and dressed our single female student in it. At the end of the course, though, she gave nearly everybody C's.

(Not me. I got an A because I'm awesome. AUGH YEAH )

As for my username, I wanted something that would invoke fear and disgust in a specific individual, while also being put in the dialect that he would use to say it. Thus, "The Pickle Monster" became "Da Pickle Monsta." Also, I just really, really fucking love pickles.

It was originally heartachehellbound from the first two songs on No Heroes, but I had it shortened. I actually prefer the song Heartache, but Hellbound sounds like a better name.

Actually the only time I managed to see Converge live, they opened with Heartache. It was a fucking killer show. I got knocked out for a second when an attempted crowdsurfer landed on my head...

Been a while since I played it but I'm pretty sure he was a blood Beoulve but disowned it after being disgusted by his family's actions.


My name is an alias for a character from Steins;Gate. The game/visual novel didn't actually create the name either, the name was also originally from some guy who claimed he was a time traveller back in 2000.
 
pretty much just kinda made it up when I signed up for these forums. I'm actually rather fond of it now. It's short, easy to remember, and sounds nice.
