KR South Korea - Spoiled hot chick sentenced to jail for public tantrum

a South Korean court has sentenced Cho Hyun-Ah, also known as «Heather Cho», Executive at Korean Air, to 3 years of prison for breaking aviation laws when she forced her plane to turn back to Seoul after she threw a tantrum at a steward who served her nuts... improperly...

she avoided a maximum sentence of 10 years. She also is the daughter of one of the company's top Chairmans.

On her private flight from Seoul (R.O.K.) to New York J.F.K. (U.S.) she received some macadamia nuts she did not ask for... they were in a bag instead of being in a bowl... Pissed off, the spoiled brat that she is decided to return to Seoul and kick the steward out of the plane.

Prior to the sentence she publicly apologized and resigned from her positions at Korean Air.

It does show how disappointed he was at the maturity his daughter showed on the plane.

I guess you can say she.... went nuts :^)

seriously why hasn't anyone said that yet?
The fact that she pulled a tantrum like that, she'd be known as the nut lady to those that read the article.

I'd agree if she was being sentenced just for throwing a tantrum, but she turned a flight around illegally, disrupting air traffic. That's a serious crime in any jurisdiction.
It would pretty much be as bad as some idiot thinking a prank such as yelling "Allahu Ackbar" in the middle of flight, right? Either way as you said, what she did is illegal such as turning a flight around which disrupted the air traffic is something serious, especially since it could cause problems for other planes and such.

And all this over a bowl of nuts. What's next, attempted murder over a bag of chips?

Not like she didn't deserve it.
