South Park + Its Political Sperging (?) Thread - Season 26 ongoing!

I come here every Thursday morn’ to check this thread all I have to say is, you thought the tegrity farms halloween special was bad? Ooooh you aint seen shit yet

Let me guess: Cartman turns out to have intestinal flu/dehydration and will shit all over Trump when Satan gets an IV hooked up to Cartman to rehydrate him and allow him to finally take a shit to clear out his body of several years worth of shit that got blocked in his intestines? And Jesus's "conversion" being a fake out so he can kill PC Principal and all the born again Christians that the woke folk hate for the fact that they are fighting against the fascist woke left and their anti-life abominations?

What do ya'll make of this? To be honest, I think it's bullshit, but hey, you never know.

That would be a fitting end to South Park, scamming Paramount out of $750 million by exploiting the wording of their contract. $1.5 billion for 'two seasons', if nothing written specified how many episodes each season needed to be. I doubt whatever team of lawyers Paramount employs would be so fucking stupid to have done something like that, but if so it would be the most hilarious thing Matt and Trey had done in a decade.

The Warner Discovery lawsuit over the South Park streaming rights.... This is Skydance damage controlling after Matt admitted they fucked over Warner Discovery via shortening seasons, skipping entire years production wise, and the specials.

Trey and Matt are still on the hook for their contract since it's 50 episodes over five years with the season number being irrelevant. This is to provide Matt a bit of anal lube before he gets raped to death Irreversible style when he gets forced into a deposition hearing for the lawsuit. If they were going to try and Jew Skydance they would have churned out 50 episodes all at once over a year's time ala regular direct to syndication cartoons and slow walk them onto TV in batches for Comedy Central to air and spend the next four years doing jack shit.

Newest episode stuff:

1. 6-7 jokes. I’m a young fella, and even I had zero clue what this shit is or where it came from. I had no real opinion on it. It got grating and cringey eventually
2. More trump, satan, and Vance stuff. Boring and lame. Penis jokes etc.
3. Eric Cartman seemingly being possessed satanically. Different, but not that funny
4. Peter Thiel. Who the fuck is this? Just some crap younger audiences aren’t gonna care about or recognize.
5. the PC principal and Jesus subplot is I believe supposed be the smaller Far right Christian sect vs the otherwise sane average right or moderate Christian sect. I guess?? Anyone feel free to correct me if wrong. They have Jesus convert to a “dude bro Christian” at the end, which I suppose implies all Christians are becoming “asshole white trash bigots”. This plot point felt more like old South Park, but just barely.

Probably slightly better than a couple other episodes this season. But being slightly better than shit is still a pretty low bar.

I think it was meant to be from about five seconds in. They've always been smart enough not to shit directly on the kids who will be buying their games and stuff. Still, I watched the Pewdiepie episode again yesterday so it was a little weird seeing the fourth graders being in on it rather than confused and calling it retarded.

Jesus thing is definitely just him realising he's responsible for these people and needs to speak their language.

Anyway, looking forward to Season 29 next week. Or whenever they get around to it. No rush.

I saw a bunch of shit on twitter last night that the new episode is being called Season 28 Episode 1. Did they just find some kind of retarded loophole to shorten their contracts by doing half seasons and counting them as 2?
Yeah I was confused about that too. The episode is continuing the story set up in the previous episodes and feels like the next episode of season 27, not the start of a new one. It's weird.

Maybe they're making the show unbearable to watch on purpose?
They did that with the Terrance and Phillip episode in the second season. Or with Jakovasaurs. This is not the same. They have just lost the ability to make a quality show. They seem burned out and creatively dead. But they owe $1 billion in loans so the show must go on.

Does Joe Sixpack even know watch South Park anymore? No seriously, is South Park still popular among normalfags?
mid-day reruns got a lot of mileage with the people at the inpatient facility I was at a few months ago, they were mostly normal 50+ with strokes/dementia/etc

That seems like the last thing I would want on tv if I had a heart attack, I’d be clutching my daughter’s hand “if I die I want you to-“eh buddy I have a small dick”

nah this was mostly for rehabbing after big falls, or in my case, getting hit by a car
people there were mostly stable

I assume so? At least to some degree.
I personally don't like the show anymore but it does get good ratings and there can't be that many redditors, normal people must watch it.

The difference between normalfags and old time South Park fans is actual fans remember when the show’s comedy had nuance, cleverness, and didn’t take sides. Nowadays it’s clearly centered toward the far left, and the average unaware person who likes the toilet humor and penis jokes and doesn’t care about satire or politics.

It’s pretty much just going through the motions like the Simpsons or Family guy, just took it longer

It's actually worse. Simpsons and Family Guy have multiple writers and some of them will try and fix the rot and course correct on those shows. Trey and Matt keep an iron grip as far as South Park solely being their baby, so no one can try and undo the damage they've caused and course correct shit.

The annoying kid who made the 6 7 meme is happy that his stupid meme got onto South Park. https://x.com/Mav67Kid67/status/1978859758414078463

Can someone please explain to me how Trey and Matt went from overdoing Randy and Tegridy because they related to the adults and wanted kids to not watch the show (hence the whole Randy onlyfans porn plot) to now making episode appealing to 13 year old kids with dumb memes? I know people say "They always did episodes on memes and trends" but at least with old episodes like the High School Musical one it had an actual plot and it was the boys trying to either understand why the trend was cool, or be like Stan and try to fit in. Here, all the boys are in on the trend and there's no plot at all. Cartman is just repeating the meme and not understanding what is wrong with him. Old South Park would have the boys saying "This is cool now?" like with the High School Musical episode.

It took longer, but happened more suddenly.

I think it was just an expediency thing, because it wasn't the focus of the episode. Usually what would happen is it'd be the kindergarteners into it and the 4th graders would be commenting on it, then Cartman adopts it wholeheartedly (either cynically to cash in or because he's retarded, or both).
This time they needed the Cartman part, but the episode was mostly about Jesus/PC Principal and stupid Trump shit, so it was faster just to make it the whole school. The Peter Thiel cult/moral panic surveillance state shit probably also worked better if it was school-wide.

I agree it was weird but I can't say the classic approach would have been preferable if it means a whole episode focusing on the 67 shit.
