I don't see why the current admins would prefer phpBB over XenForo. XF works perfectly fine for a forum like the Schlog.
(unrelated but I'm pretty sure there was an earlier soyforum test site made in 2023 that used phpBB. I think it was called "jak.soy" or something of that sort)

That was run by the infamous cordtroon "Arizona". It shut down within a day after people realized who was running it and abandoned ship.
Funny to think that it could've been the schlog a year earlier if it was made by someone else or if he didn't trust his cordsisters not to leak his identity.
