It is a proof of work algorithm. Sharty uses one too. We popularized the idea (you see this weird anime shit on tech sites like mozillazine now.

That's amazing. I guess one byproduct of the corpos borrowing from open source is that there is more open source stuff to use when the corpos excommunicate you.
