I think its a consequence of people treating politics as a means of stroking their own ego, since social media promotes immediate gratification political content that gains traction has to provide that; its not about making convincing arguments or having a coherent world view, its about making yourself feel better by getting one over on the other side. Which is why terminally online politispergs don't care about contradictions or blatant hypocrisy like mixing a supposedly anti-degeneracy ideology with zoophilic fetishism, self-critism is not gratifying.

The simplest answer is that frQQt just likes the traffic he brings to the shary whenever he mentions it in a video and doesn't want to scare him off, that, or one of the mods is a Tom fan and is protecting his parasocial internet friend who doesn't know he exists from the evil chud doxxxxxxxxxxxxxers.
