Honestly, same. It started going downhill as soon as he started getting called "Wojak" instead of "Feels Guy".

Now like less than 5 years later we've twisted the original Soyjak aka "lol that funny Wojak looks like a soyboy!" into increasingly twisted and inhuman-looking abominations. Some of them are explicitly horrifying.
