It's usually been the case that anytime Josh is mentioned on an imageboard, the same group of pedophiles that are asshurt over the pedo site AllTheFallen getting dropped by some service provider almost half a decade ago (which they attribute to the Farms based off of a single user's post) will swarm any thread that mentions Josh and flood it with the most unhinged shit about him. I believe @Null has also stated that while he was running 9chan, he observed the same IPs that screech and ree about him every single fucking day posting actual CSAM, though I might be wrong on that.

Regardless, most imageboards aren't run that well and allow these spammers to do whatever they want, letting them essentially control each website's consensus opinion on Josh, so his operating procedure whenever he hears about an imageboard is probably to just assume they irrationally hate him until it's proven otherwise (which the sharty appears to be doing, if Josh's recent positive comments about kuz and the sharty are anything to go by).

If I remember correctly it was the lolicons that he tried to quarantine in their own board away from the rest of the main image board, and as a result they started posting CSAM everywhere, which soured him on the topic. Though he also mentioned that there were others he believed were like Vordrak that followed him around and tried to fuck up anything he made with such tactics.

Someone smarter than me once argued that spontaneous raids were what made old /b/ good. Obviously nobody with a brain is truly scared of doxxing or being heckled by children but that's precisely why it worked. /b/ became too "scary" for normalfags.

Yeah it's funny after that one fox11 report it sort of became this place where supposedly bad things happen. If I recall the guy who was interviewed did it to himself because he tried making 4chan his personal Army.

Even more internet savvy people still treat it like a massive doxing and rainy site, when HWNDU was the last time they did anything fun but on occasion they do know how to find a guy with limited information (Portland shooting, Darryl Brooks)

I don't necessarily disagree with @ks99. Soyjak spam became undeniably shit after a while & was just a way for unfunny attention whores to be annoying. /bant/, sharty & the deletion of /qa/ transformed it into something else entirely though, it feels like it's been a century since soyjak was actually used to mock a specific particular sort of person that happens to comprise the entire moderation team on 4chan.
