there ARE tiers to it >though.
infected means there is some user overlap with whatever community the thread is discussing,
while plagued means that the thread is almost entirely made up of people from the community that the thread is about.
there might be more tiers but i didn't check because i'm selfish.

It either means it's basically become an embassy for the site the thread is about, or it's constantly being raided by the site the thread is about.
