The best solution I could come up with would be image scanning in DMs, but its not illegal for two consenting adults to send each other naked pictures, which If I was one of the consenting adults, I wouldn't want the site moderators seeing. (Yes I will acknowledge and say that sending any kind of compromising images of yourself online is retarded, especially on the fucking schlog, but human stupidity has no limits)

thats correct, however thats not the tools problem, if i open my discord account, I have contact with ZERO faggots or furshits, because i simply choose not to interact with them, since im not in any big servers. The problem starts when people trust others online and they form communities where these boundaries are broken (slowly) and then they get sucked into the grooming servers. Its still not an issue if the devs are faggots, it changes NOTHING on my part, because im an adult that understands its just a chat app and nothing else. The problem with discord is letting people under 18 use it, the problem with discord is that anyone can make a server (which is a good thing) and moderate it themselves. Our biggest issue is connecting minors and victims to predators, thats what needs to go. No one gets groomed on microsoft Teams because you get added by your boss and theres a certain expectation from your part. Discord's freedom allows anyone to have their closed circles where they can be as degenerate as they want.
If we want to actually see a change and prevent grooming we need to show possible victims what grooming looks like. When they are cutting into their skin and sending compromising pics, its already too late, we need to teach them the early signs. And as much as I hate to say it, thats not my job thats on the parents. We will continue banning known groomers but its not up to us to prevent it on any other platforms

I think it's the other way around. It seems like they prefer discord to imageboards but use imageboard to be "included" in that side of the internet. They don't seem to like the sharty very much and see its inhabitants as retarded, which they are (probably because a lot of them are kids), but they're not much better.
