Communism/Marxism only survives because its proponents don't know what it is. Marx believed that capitalism would inevitably lead to communism and that every person in a communist society would turn into an ubermensch aryan chad able to do every job at once. When he died and went to hell and communism didn't magically spring into existence, they had to force it to happen, undermining one of their core arguments.

It's just willful denial of reality and blaming arbitrary things on capitalism as an ideology. Utopic magical thinking for adult men.

They literally have to come up with bullshit that Marx never even talked about (e. g. personal property vs private property) and hiding their ideology through doublespeak (e. g. "eat the rich" or any other slogan/talking point talking about "the rich").
