This is common on Discord, at least for people who used public servers to "socialize". When the pandemic hit it just became degeneracy, retardation, shitposting, and pedophiles. There were dedicated shitposting discords where they just dumped random memes, cursed images (very 2020 I know), porn, and gore in a #memes channel. The really active ones was just a constant stream of videos, images and gifs being sent; when you were done watching and reading all of them, there was even more stuff posted when you scrolled below.

In the servers I was in they sent edgy racist memes, nazi edits, bait and switch videos, tiktoks, twitter or tumblr screenshots, shit they stole from reddit, softcore porn that was WAY TOO tolerated, and some other early 2020s memes.

I got a pack of friends I found through these servers, that I would play games with. Through out 2022 - they would all become faggots. One by one they trooned out or became femboys, so I just ditched them, especially after I found the sharty through googling soyjaks to portray trannies as.

The pandemic stopped, some got a life, graduated, got employed or moved to other servers; generally they became less active in 2023.

You forgot to mention the discord raiding community, I remember that people would usually just token grab some admin for a server and then add the bot to blow up the place. Nowadays basically every server has a bot with a higher up role than all the others to prevent this. I remember hearing about a turkroach that blew up a furry discord partner server with it :story:
You should also remember the anarchy servers (this was a mostly pre 2020 thing), where people would make servers and then get their account that made it (usually a sock) disabled and spread the invite link everywhere.
