He cried and shook his head
Although I laughed and geg'd
He said I made him seethe
I stared into his face
A ‘jak of pure disgrace
I knew I’d seen his post before
In some snca war

Oh no, not me
I never lost control
You're face-to-face
With the man who soy’d the world

Psychoanalysis of the Chudjak: The chud soyjak (henceforth yclept Chudjak for brevity’s sake) doth stand as an emblem of the Right’s cunning to seize and transform that which was wrought to mock them, and in the end bend it to serve their own purposes. Yet most who behold this caricature fail to venture beyond this simple observation to truly ponder what this memetic image betokeneth from a perspective of the mind’s workings, that is, for those who wield the Chudjak in scorn and those who claim it as their own likeness.

For context, the Chudjak was first fashioned by /leftypol/ folk to deride right-wing /pol/tards, basing it upon their (supposed) common visage, most notably borne by the infamous malefactor Patrick Crucius. In its first form, the Chudjak is a creature of pure malice, a being whose entire existence turneth upon the mockery of the political foe, leaning upon the ancient human prejudice that equateth uncomeliness with wickedness. In this guise, the Chudjak is naught but a memetic weapon, no different from ‘Big Red’ or ‘soyboy lefty’ as used by the Right.

Now, the background set aside, we shall commence to dissect the Chudjak’s use by those who employ it in mockery (chiefly by leftists, though at times also by rightists as a retort or counterstroke against the left). Those who engage in chud-mockery are, in truth, upholders of the most common of human biases, the disdain for the uncomely. Throughout the annals of mankind, uncomeliness hath ever been (wittingly or nay) linked with evil, from the base felon to the highest corrupt lord or tyrant; uncomeliness hath always been a common mark levied against such villainous archetypes by their detractors. What is (un)surprising in this particular use of the Chudjak is its inherent reactionary nature, in that it doth strike downward upon a whole company of folk based upon their outward form and physiognomy, a practice oft employed by the Right to obscure true discourse behind a rampart of ridicule that silenceth debate with a torrent of laughter. Its chief use by the left maketh it unique, yet unsurprising, given its birth in the famously irreverent and chan-born culture of the /leftypol/ imageboard; yet this doth not absolve nor remove the inherent right-wing element that dialectically resideth in chud-mockery.

The left doth assail the right by taking the right-wing manner of mocking folk for their appearance and placing the right-wingers in the stead of those they oft deride, turning hunter into prey. Yet, as reversing the hunter-prey dynamic still yieldeth a hunt, so too doth the mocking of right-wingers with a right-wing form still beget a reactionary mindset whereby folk are judged by their looks and condemned ere they speak. From this we may fully discern why and how this meme was so readily co-opted by the Far-Right; even in its original leftist form, it was yet grounded upon an inherently right-wing premise, tactic, and worldview. Those leftists who wield this meme to scorn the right yet fall into reactionary thought, unwitting of it, despite their progressive intent.

What is most ironic in the twofold use of the Chudjak is that the Right’s later employment of it as a form of self-identification and adoption is, in truth, the more progressive of the twain. By embracing and exalting the uncomeliness present in the Chudjak through claiming it as their own, the Right doth position themselves as part of a historically and presently shunned and outcast portion of society, which, rather than feeling shame for, they openly glory in. The spirit of those who proclaim themselves chuds is one of an inherently progressive nature, though the Chudjak be a symbol of reactionary politics. Those who embrace it as a mirror image, a ‘verily me’ caricature of themselves, do in truth partake in progressivism’s eternal quest to accept that which cannot be changed, most chiefly in this discourse: one’s outward visage.
