It wasn't as bad. They mainly went against people who sold 40K artwork, which is what every corporation does on the regular, and eventually stopped after the pushback. I don't remember they did anything against other creator, but they still used it for pitybux.

TTS used this as an excuse to jump ship to their own gay OC, but even before that the quality was completely fucking awful. The Vampire series jus doubled down on the faggotary and muh deep lore.

They never stopped. They just started doing it behind closed doors rather than in public by making back room deals with 40K content creators and then monitoring their channels, discords, etc. to ensure they were not saying anything that GW didn't like.

Nah, while TTS was becoming more faggy it was clear they had more story to tell and were genuinely devastated they had to stop or risk losing the, at the time, sole source of revenue for themselves and their families.

Doesn't make Haunter any less gay and awful, but it was not something they actively wanted to do.

Ehh, I've maintained since the first episode of Space King that the YouTube versions are funnier than than their paywalled uncensored versions. Like in this case, I originally just assumed that a female Psycho Warrior looks the same as a normal Psycho Warrior except for having a different haircut, and there's humor in that slight cosmetic difference, similar to adding a pink bow on a simple cartoon character. I also like to point to the gag from the first episode when Chestnut is retrieving the globules. It's funny to consider the implication of what he's doing just offscreen that makes him so visibly uncomfortable, especially with Hatemonger's troublesome case, but not so much when you just straight-up see the dicks he's handling. I'd rather have the humor created around censorship than cartoon dicks and balloon tits.

The Patreon ad censorship from episodes 2 and 3 are a different matter, though....

There are ways to storyboard the scenes so that they work without black boxes, such as having a closeup on the wizard as blood splatters upward, followed by a zoom-out view of the bloodstain on the tower. But the point of the black box is precisely to be an annoying, obtrusive advertisement.

If someone like Arch can still make 40K content then they could continue as well. Especially as it's been years, and they could have asked for assurances from GW.

Jannovich and Otsu had copy strike claims on their videos, SODAZ and many other 40k animation channels were practically forced to join at gunpoint, Lost Legion and Primaris animation took down there videos out of fear strikes, and TTS we have already covered. Those are just the ones on the top of my head.

Arch was already getting into legal fights with GW before all this went down. Its why he has been paying artists to make all the art for his videos for quite a few years instead of reusing GW artwork in order to NOT get credibly DMCA'd by GW.

We are getting off topic though. Space king uses entirely its own artwork and IP that GW can't touch. We know this because GW would have rammed lawyers up their ass any way they could if such an opening had appeared by now.

What's funny is in the "making of" video Tom and Don released for Episode 3, its revealed they have two female animators on their staff. And they drew all the penises. This was in answer to a question about why one of the psycho warriors dicks looked so weird.

Their patreon jumped from 40k to 70k subscribers since ep 3 dropped, that includes free subscribers but it's still good.

Whats weird about Space King is EVERY 40k nerd seems to like it. Im in the discord for my local tabletop shop, and even the most soy filled troon lovers (like dating troons) love the show and were advertising it.
