I looked up the second post and my god redditors are insufferable faggots. A fair number of them are correctly pointing out "Space King was made to be simple awesome entertainment" but then you have pseudo intellectuals writing essay responses to each other on shit like Helldivers and Fallout and how that's supposed to relate to Space King. "Author intent doesn't matter, audience interpretation does. And I interpret all entertainment into being a scathing rebuke of people I don't like."

It's a bit concerning how people just NEED their favorite media to agree with them politically. I can't imagine being one of these normal-adjacent people and having to vet all my media in case it's from The Group I Don't Agree With. Sometimes media is just good media without a political nuance to it.(Although kids shows of the time did address political or social topics, they handled them with the respect and maturity the topics need. Being politically relevant is not a substitute for good writing.)
On another note, the "fandom design" of Hatemonger completely misses the point as usual, they're supposed to look like the head of a generic GI Joe action figure with the strong facial features, glass-cutting jawline and a 1:1 forehead-to-jaw ratio.
Because part of marketing kid's toys is making them easy to draw, notice how the majority of the facial features are simple and centered in the face. But more importantly if you draw a line between the nose and the mouth, you get an almost exact 50/50 in size between the two halves. This also means that Chestnut has a gigantic forehead.
Having white hair is for old guys, and long hair is for GIRLS. You're marketing them to 8 year-old boys, for god's sake! If anything, Hatemonger is either monk-bald or has a crew cut.

Its probably because these faggots have been pandered to incessantly by the entertainment world for decades that they simply never even got to tangentially experience anything that doesn't have their bland flavor of corporate libshit politics slathered all over it.
If I had to vet everything through my political lens I would have five pieces of media at best that I could even attempt to enjoy in the last three decades.
For example, I disagree with most of the politics of the first few seasons of "The West Wing" but I still get a lot of enjoyment out of the performances, writing and plot because its simply put together so well. I don't need media to agree with me to enjoy it and its probably because most of it simply doesn't agree with me, and that is okay if its done well.
The real issue is that the inheritors of the entertainment kingdoms are fucking awful at their jobs and have so severely limited their talent pools due to political purity tests that there is very few genuinely talented people left to carry their rotting carcasses to any kind of victory.

I really liked this video and I hope they eventually do make that space queen one off episode even if its just the 3 minute short, it would be fun to see how a genderbent version of space king would go but i dont think it would be interesting enough to last for longer than 10 minutes

It has been repeatedly pointed out and confirmed by Tom and Don themselves that the immature behavior of the Psychowarriors is because they're being played with by children, that's what it's satirizing. They are 12 year olds playing 40k.
It's not a "hmm yes clearly this is mocking all those CHUDS that hate women!" situation, the characters are literally supposed to be little boys that believe in cooties and don't like girls playing with them. That's it. That's the joke. How the fuck do you miss this? The joke is insane roided-out grown ass men acting like little boys, not that they're an allegory for grown men you don't like politically IRL being manchildren because they're ""misogynists"".
The people who don't like the 40k lore being arbitrarily retconned to shoehorn women into all-male factions very clearly don't feel that way just because "something something I hate girls, they're yucky", the actual reasoning should be fairly obvious to anyone who isn't concussed or addicted to twitter. It's a dumb, arbitrary change made by a clueless company solely for pandering reasons. It doesn't add anything to the setting or game whatsoever and breaks already complicated lore even further for absolutely no reason. Half of GW's retcons are like this and most people accept that it's retarded.
If the entire intention of Space King's "no girls allowed" jokes were to shit on people who dislike stuff like female space marines then it would just be a strawman, not some biting satirical deconstruction.
TLDR - The series isn't supposed to be commentary on the current-year warhammer drama bullshit, it supposed to be emulating the feeling of playing 40k when you were a kid. The goofy over-the-top casual violence and so-stupid-it's-cool lore and characters is pure WH and how the characters act is 100% in-line with how you would play it as a young boy.
That has been the series mission statement from the start and thinking it's something else, unless Tom and Don come out and say it, is just projection. (and gay.)

I find it sad that people will purposefully avoid things that might otherwise find entertaining just because it’s not a whiff of something they politically disagree with, even stranger when they do mental gymnastics to twist it into something that find palatable after the fact. One of my favorite games of the last decade was Disco Elysium, I have zero in common politically with the dev team but I can still appreciate it for what it is, I don’t try to make it something it isn’t.
Do school kids even play pretend these days? Back in the schoolyard we’d always be running around playing Rambo or Soldiers or some dumb stuff, I wonder if kids even do that any more. Might explain why redditors are unable to grasp the overall joke of the show.
