Oh and to echo what others have stated: It reminds me a lot of a childhood cartoon but for adult audiences. Goofy somewhat chaotic and violent fun.

Less pure shock value like family guy or edgey like R&M OR gay like *hurk* Hazbin hotel

They guns are energy-based laser weapons powered by small scale energy cell ammunition, much like the energy cells we see power the psycho armor, which is fed into the gun with it's energy dumped and focused through a lens inside the gun to produce it's iconic and exclusively pink light.

What they're made of specifically though, no idea. The armor seems to be some kind of ceramic given it seems to chip more often than it dents, but it could be some kind of brittle metal alloy as well. (the real answer is plastic because they're action figures)

Late reply, but since the point keeps getting brought up: I assume it is because they were indoctrinated by got their politics (and large parts of their identity) from similar media, and their beliefs are fragile and not well-anchored.

E. g. suicidal empathy does not occur naturally.

On another note, the "fandom design" of Hatemonger completely misses the point as usual, they're supposed to look like the head of a generic GI Joe action figure with the strong facial features, glass-cutting jawline and a 1:1 forehead-to-jaw ratio.

I'm late to this one but I'll explain it anyway, so you've learned that mainstream entertainers and the entertainment they make hates you personally, then you find out that these are bad people, either because they're hypocritical or because they can't keep it together or because they are suffering the effects of their politics.

So you go "fuck it! I don't need these people I can watch/read/listen to something else" so now you're constantly trying to avoid these people while also nervous that "your guys" might betray you at any moment or reveal themselves to not be true Scotsman.

It makes sense if you specifically came into a fandom to ruin it, but didn't realize that the former fandom wouldn't just roll over and submit. Instead moving on to something else that is similar to what they used to like before the tourists came in to ruin it.

Hell, Trench Crusade was on the brink of attracting Space Kings audience before they speedran becoming an even worse version of GW.
 
I was relistening to some old Cream Crew episodes recently, got to #97 today about making space king ep 1 and I'm real glad for the boys that it's worked out well for them. They were very unsure whether it would pan out at all or not at the time.
