Yes, or else they'll probably lose what ever funding they get from the legions of degenerates who do encourage it. Calling it now, Captain is Space King, either literally or through some mishap involving original Space King's globules. The way they show his face in the intro when saying "made in his image", the couple of times they cut between facial shots of the Captain and the Space King statue, and then also showing Captain's face encircled by the Space King hand gesture? It feels like foreshadowing
