Space King - Original Series by Flashgitz

I have been watching Space King since it came out, and as much as I loved the first 2 episodes, Epsiode 3 and 4 really feel lacking in comparison. The breaking point for me is whether or not Episode 5 will be as good as Episode 1 and 2, and if it's worse than the latter, I'm just going to completely stop watching it.
I can't speak for Episode 3 as I like it, however Episode 4 was rushed out for Christmas, but I think it was pretty good for being rushed. Episode 5 supposedly has twice the budget of the previous episodes, and will be much more action centric.

I was a good little paypiggy and bought the kingsmas merch drop. Anyone seen any announcements, I thought it was supposed to ship in March?

Tom and Don have released their video answering questions. The Terry Heresy(terresy?) gets teased.
I liked the question about which dinosaurs each of the boys would consider their favorites. I was also disappointed that Carnotaurus wasn’t mentioned as an option at all (The coolest sauropod ever).

So they mentioned the Coagulators. I thought that in the past they mentioned bringing them back, but not "bonded" with the Brood-mother any more with some sort of explanation. In this video it seems they are saying that all of them are permanently bonded, and are all heretics so Idk. I'll have to try and track down what I thought they had said, it was probably in the Commentary for Episode 2.

I'm really sick of every single videogame and series releasing its own 200$ tie in board game. There's no fucking way that shit's organic at this point, there must be some sort of agency or company or something pushing for it behind the scenes.

Unless something has changed since I last looked into it, it's in front of the scenes. It's Kickstarter. People just like board games and creative/game making-type nerds like designing them.
And since a board game is basically just a printed box (which you'd probably have to do for any other product) with some other bits of card in it (which you can order from the same printer) and a few loose handfuls of dice and custom plastic shit thrown in (or even just like, coloured wooden cubes you can get in bulk), you can fulfil it from your living room so they pretty much always get finished and shipped. It's pretty low-risk from both a merch and buyer perspective since people haven't gotten jaded about it as a result.

Its so low risk that they're charging 150$ for that shit.

150$ for valheim minimum.

150$ for deep rock minimum.

~150$ for slay the spire.

Terraria goes between 60-150$

"We need a million dollars to make a bunch of cardboard cutouts that we'll then sell for 60$ minimum."

Frostpunk, ANOTHER 60-100$

Deadcells, ANOTHER 60-100$

I have not seen a single "board game tie in" that wasn't an obvious grift designed to extract maximum ammount of money from blind fans.

I'm not even against board games, I used to play a lot of board games with family as a kid and I still have like several dozens of them in my closet, they always seemed like a down to earth medium for everyone to enjoy, but these greedy fucks have literally turned it into a money laundering sceme.

150$ dollars for a bunch of cardboard cutouts and plastic mold injection figurines. Any conman that releases one of these instantly loses my respect because its obvious they're more greedy than EA but are somehow allowed to get away with it.

Genuinely disgusting ammount of greed that's now been completely normalized.
