Didn't he "learn" Castillian Spanish? So all this Mexican shit is just Chris sperging.
That's probaby the only Spanish-speaking country he knows. Spain is in Europe, and he thinks that Korea is somewhere nearby.

If only Korea really was near Spain. We would have had so much silk.

It's so sad that he and so many other Americans are so fucking geographically ignorant.

Chris thinks Korea is near Spain? Really?

One of my bosses thought Belize was a Spanish-speaking country and that it doesn't border Mexico. I had to prove him wrong using Google Earth and Wikipedia. (PROTIP: They're not a Hispanic nation when the country used to be called BRITISH HONDURAS! You're Welcome!) That same guy also married a Belarussian woman.

The only subject we were ever given names in was Mandarin Chinese. My secondary school was a MFL school, meaning that their funding went majorly into language and I did French for 5 years, Chinese for 3 and Spanish for 1.

We didn't have have "names" in French or Spanish, but then again we were taught by English teachers who knew the language.

Our Chinese teachers were all from Taiwan (we had three as they came on a 1 year work visa, and I assume from the schools POV it's easier to just hire another little asian girl. Man they were cute <3). They gave themselves English names when they joined us, and we chose Chinese names (there was a sitewe used). We dropped our Chinese names like after 2 lessons because nobody responded to them . I thought that names were given to make it easier on the poor lady who didnt know english too well. They had real issue with our names tho, especially mine (apparently Lauren is really difficult to say when you're taiwanese), that was always a laugh.

Ironically "Christian" is a common Hispanic name.
<stress sigh>

If by that you mean that Christian is a common name amongst hispanic countries, then you are right, otherwise, you are wrong (really)

One thing's for certain: His pronunciation sucks.

One more time, I have to play devil's advocate...I've seen far worse by competent people, for example, in the (otherwise awesome) Breaking Bad series, most of the supossedly native hispanic characters have lulzworthy accents even worse than Chris (specially Gus Fring, who is supossed to be from Chile)

No, no, he said to Julie that Bob traveled to Europe... where he took part in Korean War.

... for one thing. And he's traveled to uh, U- Europe at least, he's been to uh- I think it was North Korea... during the Korean war- he-[Windows beeping] he was in the signal corps.

I don't know, it reads more like he was just listing shit off here, stuff big Bob told Chris he did in the past. And that you might just be jumping the gun.
