I sincerely hope he rigged some sort of system which spits out the positional value of every entity for that top down view because if he did that by hand, that is legitimately insane. And I mean that in the straitjacket and padded room kind of "insane." He accurately measured where every object offscreen was precisely and even accurately halted it when he started mashing his pause button.

He along with other SM64 autismos developed STROOP for exactly this so I don't think he did it by hand. Although when he made the original Watch for Rolling Rocks 0.5x (building up speed for 12 hours) it was all done by hand with a calculator.

I've been watching some videos on speedrunning on YouTube over it due to boredom of constant drives and wanting to get away from politics. Sometimes things are interesting, but the most ridiculous shit is people speedrunning luck based games.

I can at least understand trying to be fastest in pure skill based games, as autistic as it can be. But basically rolling dice on several hour slogs sounds like the height of madness for people who have a compulsion to burn their times on earth.

Games Done Quick has posted the schedule for AGDQ (January 2024). I'm out of the loop in the speedrunning community (it's been a very long time since I gave a shit) so I don't know if any of these featured runners are worth keeping an eye on. It seems GDQ is still willing to suck tranny cock but they aren't so keen on putting them front and center after what happened with Protomagicalgirl a few years back.

went thru and there is maybe 10 people that are at least semi known. the rest are legit whos. finale is maybe one of the weakest ones I have seen in a good while. They also seem to have a shit ton of games I dont think many have heard of, myself included.

Combed over the list of games and most of these are ethier more recent games like Elden Ring or any of Nintendo's recent slate of games (guess how many of those take up the list), Licenced shovelware games, old Nintendo games that have been done to death (Plus Super Metroid becuase we can't possibly have a GDQ without it.) and literal who indie games such as Skator Gator 3D, which if i didn't look up before writing this, I would have assumed was some spoof of Bubsy 3D.

I haven't seen anyone post about Waifuruns.
He makes passable speed-running YouTube videos, but one of them is a TMI that, in my opinion, is just sad and pathetic. It's how he got into speedrunning a very RNG-dependent and difficult game to speed-run, Left 4 Dead 2. I imagine that some professional and most obscure speedrunners have a similar story to his own.

Not that surprising coming from a guy that takes part in circlejerks about speedrunning. He acts as if speedrunners are some sort of superhuman entities because of how dedicated they are to perform glitches and such in video games, instead of them being autistic nerds with a niche hobby. Unironic fedora wearing redditnigger too.

Does anyone know who Karl Jobst's lawyer is? He keeps mentioning his legal defense fund, but considering he lives in AUS, the entire thing has to be complicated as hell. Dude got 200k so far, wonder where that money actually went.

This is off-topic but I'm a retard and don't know where to post questions like this, and speedrunning has a lot of overlap. Are there any general autism mock threads? I've increasingly discovered that anything after the words "I'm autistic and" is going to be some of the most intolerable shit you've ever seen and this site seems like it would deliver. Search only seems to bring up jokes and vaccine shit but maybe I'm missing something.
