To add onto this as well as what I had mentioned regarding the finale, this one had the lowest viewer count in like 5 years. Most of the time the finale has 140-160k viewers but this time, it stayed in the 60k range. They started their bonus game stuff sometime last night and that was barely breaking 2k viewers.

Another GDQ, another event that's only tolerable with shitposting. Here's /v/'s chart:

As you can see, people really enjoyed the Super Mario Sunshine run, which was dubbed the redemption arc, considering it was the same runner who had to restart his run 46 minutes in during SGDQ 2022 with an annoying tranny on the couch.

And since this is GDQ there needed to be trannies inserting themselves into everything, even Worms, where "TRANSPRIDE" won the donation incentive and became the name of the first worm in the team during a run of Worms Reloaded. This backfired in a way, as Worms is a series about war, and suicide is a common war tactic:

(Also he had a bonus incentive run where he was supossed to kill Omega at level 1. He went 5 minutes over the estimate of 15 mintues)

Overall it was another boring event and it shows with their views and donations. We'll see how ESA Winter 2024 goes, especially considering that they're apparently dropping the 24 hour format this edition.

That’s a shame, the runs in the small hours were usually a good laugh. Although for me ESA peaked with Metako’s FFIX Dagger% run, that shit was too fun.

SHiFT has been brought up a couple times in this thread but this guy has been going downhill fast over the past few years. Screams to the point where he's gotten laryngitis and lost his voice twice, entitled, pity parties, paranoia, whining and complaining, raging at the game and arguments with viewers. Some of the most unhinged shit I've ever seen. Guy deserves a full thread as he's a complete lolcow who gets triggered way too easily, plays spongebob for 12hrs a day, has scammed viewers in the past, is ban-happy, and completely delusional.

A little bit of digging already shows a SHiFT A-Log showing some of the best moments from his streams that show the lolcow behavior that's been propping up.
There's also this google doc that has a handful of petty but luzworthy things SHiFT had done.

GDQ is currently running their "Frame Fatales" event, which highlights female speedrunners in the community. As you can guess, half of the runners are greasy trannies. Funny thing is, most of the videos with tranny speedrunners have a large amount of dislikes on them, while the runs with actual women have positive ratings. Maybe there is still hope.

I didn't want to double post but ESA Winter 2024 has ended 2 weeks ago and I liked making the previous summary post so here we go.
This event managed to raise $85,146 for Make-A-Wish International

This isn't the best result considering they didn't even manage to break the 100k milestone. For comparison:

Speaking of donations, they are two things I'd like to mention. The first is that they were using Tiltify instead of their old page. The second is that they allowed for sound effects to be played when sending a donation and as the event went on, more of them were added. This was obviously used to spam forced memes by donating money and as all of these types of rewards go, attention whores loved this:

Now for the runs themselves:
ESA Winter 2024 as rated by v.png
If you compare it to the GDQ chart, you will see that something is missing. Somehow there was a total of ZERO troon runners (there were some on the couch and there were also they/them runners but no MtFs or FtMs).

The best runs in my opinion were the Super Mario Galaxy 2 run and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap run. Both runs are just a bunch of nerds having fun for 3+ hours. The runners, the couch and the audience had great synergy and the runs themselves were quite impressive. Hitman: Blood Money run was an entertaining trainwreck with the runner almost coming to tears at the end. He also promised that he would get his redemption arc.

"Mako's ESA Winter Pokemon Adventure" refers to a set of videos made by Mako, who is an artist that made a lot of art relating to ESA and often hangs out in /v/ threads.

At the end of the event one anon complained about the lack of new OC for Plum, the unofficial mascot of ESA. This led to other anons dusting off their brushes and creating their great artworks which resulted in this collage:

To finish this post off, it's important to mention that the final run was a relay of the Sonic trilogy for SEGA Genesis. The finale took place on 24th of February. Therefore...

I watched a little bit of ESA as it happened and I was genuinely surprised to see that ESA didn't pick a single troon speedrunner to appear at their event. Given how infested the speedrunning community is with sex perverts (just look at the recent post talking about GDQ's "Frame Fatales") this almost seems like it has to be an intentional decision, does it not? Regardless, I've migrated my support and attention to ESA as of a few events ago and if they're committed to running a clean show with no deviants then I'm fully in support of them.

According to Amethyst, while Jenn was 21, he had sex with Amethyst who was a minor at the time. Amethyst refuses to say their age but claims they were a minor. So at best 17-21, at worst? 16-21. Also Amethyst accuses Jenn of moving near him and then leeching off Amethyst's family for rent.

Also an anonymous user accused Mars of having "multiple 4+ year age gap relationships."
This all changed in late 2023 when it asked to strip in vc when a known minor was present. I kept making it very clear why I was uncomfortable with this but it pushed back a few times before giving up. After this I started paying attention more to the types of sexual manipulation it uses on people and reached out to people to talk about the situation. Very quickly it became evident that it has pushed a lot of people too far and had relationships with multiple 4+ year age gaps at best and heavy sexual relations at worst.
