Alexandra Dewitt was Kyle Rayner's fridged girl. Off the top of my head, I could be wrong, but this is from my substantial nerd knowledge.

I found the deaths from Superboy Prime's rampage during Infinite Crisis more impactful, and those were Z-listers...

Hell, I felt it when fucking Airwave died

The new Phoenix omnibus looks exciting. I don't think I ever read the actual New X-Men comic but I can remember skimming pages at the bookstore. Like I remember Genosha's imploding and Emma activating her diamond form, and her apparent death leading Bishop and Sage to investigate, although this might have been right after she battled Storm over the fate of a mutant boy in X-Treme. I had an encyclopedia for the X-Men and so I was spoiled about Xorn.

I remember I was bummed that Jean died again, though at the time I was more upset about Psylocke dying. I can't remember if their deaths were orders from frigging Quesada but if I'm not mistaken Chris Claremont didn't want Betsy to die. Not sure about Jean. Although I believe in the 1980s he also wanted to prevent her death during the Dark Phoenix saga and infamously was told that 'because Jean ate a star and thus committed genocide on an entire planet (?) she had to die because that was irredeemable'. Marvel be on some weird shit back then.

Hell, I'd even go so far as to say that Zatanna's mother and the Original Marvel Swordsman had more impactful deaths.

I miss bronze age marvel. They had some fun ideas. I do think the whole Dark Phoenix story was just a little overrated.

Also they should have just left Scott alone with Maddie Pryor. Bring back Jean if you want, but play off Scott seemingly walking out of superheroics. Have Gambit or Havok step up as the premier "Summers Brother" and have Jean/Phoenix-Scott-Maddie Pryor go through an arc. I think it could have been handled in a way that didn't outright throw Maddie into the irrelevancy bin.

X-Treme X-Men is as fun as I remember it. Stupid but fun. The Destiny's diaries plot is the strongest. The entire series is great specifically for Sage because she got the chance to develop as a character. Plus her affecting the characters abilities, specifically Beast and Rogue, I always found that interesting and it was done in a way that did not make her a Mary Sue. Psylocke would have added more flair but they picked her to die...still hate it. Should have killed the useless Indian loser. He was annoying.

Lifeguard came back last year. She turned herself into a living island...I'm serious.

Marvel ought to retcon everything after Mike Carey's run on X-Men. It's been nothing but trash.

Hell, retcon everything after 2008 in Marvel as being an alternate universe or some shit. I can think of very little worth keeping from Civil War onward.
That would mean Remender's runs on various titles, and a few other gems like Kaine's Scarlet Spider book getting wiped out and I will not have that.

And that's without me defending the Krakoa era, which I like overall.

I just actually finished X-Treme X-Men or the first time like a week ago and totally agree, I actually liked it more then it's more famous counterpart New X-Men. Personality, I liked the Sage/Bishop detective story that came right later on the best as it the first in-depth look we really get into Sage's background. She suffered way too much in her backstory to ever be called a Mary Sue.

I've always been confused on why they though it was a good idea for a Indian to take the name of a Native American. It's like someone mixed the two types of Indians up and no one bother to correct him. Totally agree by the way Thunderbird added nothing to the comic and it improves a lot one he leaves.

I'm pretty sure that something like this was the original idea and Claremont was forced by the editors to bring Jean back for X-Factor which messed everything up that was planned. You can find interviews out there from some of the old writers in which they talk about Pryor and they more or less say the character didn't end up the way they wanted her too.

Dan Slott is writing Superman now?
Didn't Bendis, Lobdell and a soviet dude (literally) rape him enough?

Watching Born Again, will edit after ep 2

Ep 1: ...interesting, I guess?

Matt, Foggy and Karen are out celebrating. Foggy gets a call from a client in danger, Matt decides to go help him. I'm not sure why he switched into his costume at the start to respond to what seemed to be an imminent threat, seems like it'd have eaten a few minutes better spent getting a move on. Fight wasn't too bad, not sure how Bullseye survived faceplanting off a rooftop. RIP Fogget. I think I can kinda see the outlines of the crap this originally was, but at least the violence seemed well done. Fisk becomes mayor of the city on a platform of dealing with crime, corruption and the constant vigilantes popping up. Hated the music at the end.

Ep 2: the vigilante situation of new york is examined

A man stumbles upon two guys beating the shit out of a third, steps in, and in a clear accident one of the perpetrators is killed while the person they were assaulting runs. Turns out the thugs were cops, and now the man that stepped in is accused of murdering a cop. Matt hears him being tuned up in the police precinct, steps in and offers to represent him. Episode revolves around Fisk heading off a Police Commissioner that knows what he did as Kingpin and plans to sabotage his run as mayor, and Matt finding the witness. That short scene at the very end was pretty enjoyable.

Hope the rest of it is good.

Wonder if they'll have the balls to go through with the original comic ending of the White Tiger trial arc. Not a fan of killing off Foggy, though they might be setting up the witsec story with Foggy, who knows. I'm already cringing at the upcoming 'cops inspired by the Punisher cos the Punisher is a bad guy' shit they've set up. Also hate how 90% of the cast is new, very few returning faces from the Netflix series -- dunno why they couldn't have at least brought Brett back as the NYPD focus, and having Marci back would've added extra punch to Foggy's death.

That faggot Hunter Doohan is in Daredevil Born Again and if he's playing who i think he is playing......yeah he does not have the range.

I wait until the show's finished before watching but from what I know of modern MCU, I'm not hopeful. Which is a shame, because for all its flaws, the Netflix Daredevil show was pretty solid.

Negro spoiler that shit. It took awhile before the episodes dropped outside of Kike+ (Or maybe I couldn't find them idk. My point stands.)

The fucking mouse had to cancel the Netflix show for their bullshit service. I knew this one was going to be bad. I was prepared but man...

Foggy makes me sad. Matt had to run out of girlfriends.
Bullseye killing Father Maxi drove him to the edge similarly but he made peace with the dangers of the cape business by the end of Netflix S3. It is impactful but doesn't really make sense for him to regress back. Bullseye always fucks with Matt like that in the comics but even back then I thought it was lame and overdone. Hoped live action could handle it better but no. They brought him back to just take a dump in the fanbase's mouth. They could have just pasted the church scene in S3 before the trial and it would have the same effect. They just had to twist the knife. The show feels empty without the duo dynamic.

The fight scenes are bad especially after rewatching the Netflix show. They threw a smoke grenade to hide how shitty the first one was. Some people probably had seizures during they were climbing the stairs.

White Tiger arc is my least favorite in the Bendis run. I hope they spice things up more with Punisher and whatever. Hector is probably going to end up the same way like he did in the comic. Maybe this new nigger Urich girl will take the medallion this time. Maybe his wife.

Matt is def going to jail at the end of the season perhaps with Kingpin and Bullseye. If this is going to be the Bendis season the next could be Brubaker's.

Sopranos influence also hit Kingpin. This time with Carmela. The Penguin show had it too. But it is funnier here since Gandolfini's son is playing the retard in Kingpin's office. Honestly my money was on him for being Muse. It can still happen but it looks more obvious who that is going to be.

Who do you think he is playing?
Muse. I fear that they are going to retell Netflix Bullseye's backstory with psychiatry and all that. This show is redoing alot of the plotlines from Netflix S3 and not much more to offer so far.

Honestly I thought the same about Bullseye's actor but he has been doing a great job I have to admit. I am not liking this show though so he might end up as bad as his other shit.

Don't take this as gospel, but I heard that his codename was originally Agni after the Hindu god of fire. Marvel vetoed it because someone thought it was in poor taste to use the name of a deity that was still worshipped.

Yeah, this whole Punisher psycho-cop narrative is probably going to reach a fever pitch whenever the next protest of peace inevitable erupts in the next 4 years. They already have the commie Camp on the Ultiamtes spouting this shit inbetween derivative Morrisonslop.
