Spider-Man: Far From Home

One thing about this trend of they keep cranking the movies out, give it time they will show your favorite baddy and supporting cast.

I like Mysterio, I'm hoping it's done well.

"I just got back from being dead, but I still got a school trip to worry about!"

Is that how they're presenting it? An odd tone for sure.
Maybe I misspoke a bit. The movie begins minutes after endgame allegedly.

Mysterio? Huh.

I'm glad they're actually trying to expand upon other villains in the Spiderverse. I think not being able to use Venom is kind of a good thing in a way. I think it would be easy to just make Venom the villian in these types of movies so I'm glad they're trying to expand upon the others instead.

I was pleased with Vulture's characterization and now I'm curious to see what they're going to do with Mysterio. I didn't necessarily find him to be an interesting villain, but hopefully they add something to it.

I do like Tom Holland as Spiderman. He's really geeky, but he does capture the naivety and immaturity of Spiderman well enough. Hopefully he grows more in this movie.

Endgame ends with Infinity War being rewritten, and Tony dies.

There, that's why Far from Home takes place minutes after Endgame despite Peter dying. The snap didn't happen.

I am interested into seeing how Mysterio will play out and I heard those things that Spidey was fighting were called Elementals which makes sense considering how sporadic the attacks seem or

Mysterio made those just for him to fight to make himself look like a hero.

I still don't get why black MJ is black MJ and not just a new character. Stop ginger erasure.

I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they wanted to do some bs fake reveal with MJ, but I think the way they set up this MJ is terrible though. Like, either make an MJ for this continuity or don't. Don't half-ass it and then try to make her MJ later. It's one of the few things I think Marvel really did wrong with Homecoming.

And even then, I don't mind an MJ being a bit cruder to differentiate from the others, but when that's all she's used for it's just boring. At least they seem to want to try and have her warm up a bit in this movie to say the least.

I like how despite being very different from the original Flash, MCU!Flash does reflect how modern high school bullies are and still keeps his respect for Spider-Man like in the comics.

Also it’s interesting that Aunt May knows about her nephew being Spider-Man which makes me interested because that possibility was never really shown in the movies before, mainly the comics.

Is that the Noir suit at 1:52? I liked the Noir comics, but I don't get why it keeps getting shoehorned in as a reference. Also, Mysterio seems to be fighting Hydro-man, so is he going to be a neutral party or turn into a villain later? I'm definitely skipping Endgame and Captain Marvel because I'm kind of burnt out on Marvel/Disney, but this one looks interesting.

For a minute, I went “Ezra’s Flash isn’t in the MCU...” but then I realized you were talking about a different Flash. Whoops.

Anywho, I’m still excited for this movie. MCU Spiderman has been very promising and I like that they deviate from the common Spidey cliches in the past few movies where they could’ve easily used Mysterio as a cheap easter egg gag like the Raimi movies almost did and just used one of Spidey’s A-list villains but they didn’t. Also, at least Tom looks like he’s having a fun time unlike someone else who will not be named.
