Spitting Image to return - Rubber man bad

Salmond as Shrek was mildly amusing, but Malala bullying Greta was the stand out moment in this episode.
To be honest, i think my favorite puppet designs for this season have to be Salmond and Tom Cruise, they look so bizarre, but very funny.

I also found out that one of the new Voice Actors they have for season 2 is a pretty..... interesting individual

That episode was... actually really strong.

The Love Island stuff was inspired, Tom Cruise driving the Scottish ambulances, although a repeat of a joke from last week, was still pretty funny, Werner Herzog documentaries getting called out by the naked mole rats, Pelosi being Pelosi, the utter savaging Phoebe Waller Bridge got, it was all actually funny.

They do need to retire the Olivia Colman bit though, she's not in everything now. Now it's Anna Maxwell Martin. The Boris thing fell flat as he acknowledged his illegitimate children this week, and the last song with Emma Raducanu because fuck her, I'm sick of seeing her stupid face.

I do wonder if Sargon will 'Suck on Jess Philip's Labour vag' now...

Finally got to see this.

Meghan Markle going nutso on Kristen Stewart, Rishi Scissorhands and the Jameela Jamil sketch were the highlights in this.

I have noticed that the writers are more willing to mock darlings too (see Gareth Southgate) so that's only a good thing.

Lot of repeat jokes and generally weak sketches here.

The Malala/Greta stuff is funnier when it's just Malala bullying Greta, the Harry Styles stuff is just fucking weak.
Joe Biden on giving Ru Paul a seat on The Supreme Court: You've always presided over the hardest decisions, which of these guys looks like a dame?

Another weak episode with mild smiles from the Labour puppet show and Daniel Craig starting a pub brawl because he wanted to go to a gay bar instead.

Then the Stan parody with Piers Morgan happened and that's what I fucking expect from this. It was genuinely funny plus clever.

Just watched The Christmas Special.

The Celebrities song on Climate change doing fuck all was hilarious. As was the mockery of the John Lewis ad (nice to see William Shatner actually getting a proper puppet now!). The Gilbert And Sullivan piece with Bezos, Zuckerberg and Musk was amusing too.

Sadly Rishmas Carol failed to live up to it's potential (The Maggie puppet came back for it for Godssakes), The Elton John Wonderful Life where everyone's better off without him was an old worn out joke done with the wrong person, the writers are way too nice to Marcus Rashford and the Tom Cruise joke is boring now, even if the sketch revealed that Santa is a Scientologist.

The writers apparently commenting on Rishi being the most popular member of The Cabinet
I cannot lie, Boris going "I need something to make me look good" followed by KIer Stamer speaking was well delivered. Behind on Spitting Image alas so need to catch up.

Some of the Labour jokes have been hitting, but they're much rarer than any attempt at humour against the Tories.

My favourite was Keir Starmer referring to the Shadow Cabinet as 'The Donkey Sanctuary'

In fairness it should be the case that their main target is the party in power. Also Boris and Pritti are both spot on puppets. I think there's more stuff with Labour this season because they actually made puppets for some of them as opposed to just Kier, the first one the cost wasn't worth it.

I always remembered all three main parties got a fair smack in the golden age, I think that should be the main aim.

Be vicious to all sides.

True enough. I'm actually surprised they haven't done more with the SNP. There are loads of options just the Nicola puppet opens up for them.
