I don't buy it... One of the stages is "spawning grounds" and Salmon Run is the term used when salmon swim upstream to breed. Grizzco powers their sweatshops with the stolen unborn and the salmon are just trying to continue their species.

There's literally an apocalyptic prophecy in-game saying that they will rise up from the sea and consume all life residing on land. Considering how the salmonoids "weapons" consist of things like frying pans and grills I'd say it's pretty accurate.
 
I'm not sure what's going on, and the subreddit is unhelpfull, but apparently there's some tranny drama instead of furry drama now.

Reviving this because of the Octo Expansion DLC.

So, that final boss fight was fucking surreal. A human statue piloted by a rogue AI made by a human professor from 12,000 years ago wanted to end all of civilization for petty reasons. What the actual fuck?

Not meaning to necro this shit too hard, but I just recently got a switch and got in on this game. Finding it fun. Do Kiwis still play this shit?
 
Splatfest is gearing up, it's supposed to be themed around Smash but it's just heroes vs. villains with Pearl for Heroes and Marina for Villains.

What's y'alls picks? I personally like the dark side. (insert cookies joke from 2008 here)
 
Necro time!. The free trial of Splatoon is nearly over. Anyone here been playing it?

I'm kind of kicking myself for taking so long to get into it, as it functions well as a 3rd person, team based shooter. Wondering if I get the full version on a discount, or wait for the sequel. Thoughts?

I've only played a bit of it, I'm not good at the turf wars but the salmon run mode is so much fun.

Is the game still active? It’s been around a year since I booted it up. Also, does anyone have a recommendation for a Switch headset? I’ve been plugging the audio jack for my hyperx into the top of my switch, but that’s so short without the usb dongle that it’s nearly destroyed things several times.

The game is still active even without the splatfest re-run. But the re-run brought a lot of new people based on the quality of players I've found.
I run my switch through my PC using a capture card so I don't really have issues with audio, so I can't help with the headset part.

I have the game, it's not really worth lining Nintendo's wallet just to play online...with tranny spam.
