Is it actually a thing for pathological liars' stories to inevitably be incredibly dumb and implausible? The few I've known always tell stories that are just ridiculous, to the point that I can't buy them believing anyone would actually believe them. That "KILL YOURSELF, KARKAT!" story is honestly pretty believable as some really stupid shit a pathological liar might make up.
