Holy shit, that tongue piercing looking horrifying and I can only assume it will look more horrifying as things get worse. This can become a PSA as to why you do not pierce yourself.
 
Had a look on Google. The one with the ball ends looks very much like the one Springer has on their tongue. It's suggested for eyebrow piercings.

I know this is a UK site, but without a doubt these are available in the US too.

I hope she knows most people consider tongue piercings a DONT do it yourself for a reason lol I can't tell how much blood actually is present because saliva makes blood look like more than is actually there, but I can safely assume that if there was more blood she would have taken even more edgy pictures. Anyways that piercing looks dangerously close to the main tongue artery which is bad because even if it isn't pierced and bleeding everywhere, a ensuing infection could give her blood poisoning. Tongues are very tricky to pierce and if she's not even using the right piercing for it, I dont think she used the much needed tongue mapping that comes with DIY piercing kits.

Ashley I really do think you should go to the hospital for that no joke.

Tongue piercings are tricky - there's a specific spot to pierce, and the needle used initially cores out the flesh instead of just pushing straight through (kinda like cartilage piercings). She may keep it if she's careful, or it may swell grotesquely around the too-small, incorrect jewellery and lead to hilarious consequences.

Either way, boy does Ashley have a great face for radio.

And even so DIY piercing kits are stupid. Instead anyone with a lick of common sense would go to an experienced piercer in a reputable shop. Fifty bucks to a professional is better than the higher risk of screwing up and getting infected, including the possibility of having said infection go septic.

Hmm, $50 to go get a piercing done in a sterile environment with professional tools by someone who knows what they're doing, or $0 to jam a needle through my tongue and hope for the best? Hospital visits are not cheap - maybe when she's forced to go in because her tongue is too swollen for her mouth and is leaking pus around that curved barbell (seriously, I know she's stupid, but come on) she'll regret not ponying up for a professional job.

Nah. Hospital visit's more excuses for ass-pats and edge points, what am I saying.

It's always interesting to see how the tumblrites police their own weird little community. This is from dpdram/ptsdgluskin's blog, who I mentioned before, whose entire schtick is basically being just like Greasetrap but has a modest following from calling out and harassing every special snowflake who doesn't follow his exact rules.

I can go my entire life without being reminded about Greasy's nudes :(
