I don't think the MCU has ever crossed over with Stephen King.

So Square Enix shuts down United Front Games - creator of Sleeping Dogs - after pretty much sabotaging them with that weird sequel MMO and overestimating projected sales which sounds like they should have fired their whatever department for being inept... but they'll do this. They'll make this. They'll force us to play as knock-off Luffy.

Couldn't we have created our own character and be given an Iron Man-esque suit with customizing features for different play styles? Working as a grunt who stumbles into a bigger threat and works with the Avengers directly. I guarantee you that would have worked out much better than Kamala Harris Khan.

I think the reason they went with Kamala was so she could be the "new kid", the character that's the audience surrogate, who they can relate to as opposed to big powerful names like Tony Stark. Kinda like Jubilee's role in the 90's X-Men cartoon. I wish they didn't go with a woke replacement tho. I hear people don't hate her as much compared to Lady Thor and especially Riri Williams, so maybe this wasn't the worst representative of NuMarvel. Who knows?

Another thing to consider is that NO ONE gives a shit about Inhumans in the MCU, in part because the executives like to pretend that they are Mutants, mind you this was before Disney bought Fox, so now the MCU is in a weird state because you can't add mutants without addressing why they keep calling them Inhumans (fair, in the movies they never call Wanda and Pietro inhumans, just "enhanced", but in other media is stated that they got their powers by terragenesis)

So Kamala is a mix between shit no one cared and shit no one wanted

Oh it definitely is.

Since it's Square-Enix they also have ongoing deals with Sony to help promote the Final Fantasy 7 remake. You literally cannot rock the boat even if you tried.

I'm also sure that Disney is kicking itself that it didn't take the offer for Marvel to buy it up all at once instead of the piecemeal stuff that happened in the beginning.

That sounds an awful lot like that X-Men: Destiny game that came out years ago that everyone hated.

Granted, it's not an awful idea, but it would require a lot more creativity on the developers' part, probably more than they're willing to give if the gameplay footage is anything to go by.

Nah, they hated that one because you had fixed characters and they originally announced a character creator. That entire game's development was a shitshow from the start, there's a story about it somewhere.
