Yeah but Kane probably couldn't Tombstone Thanos either, which is my original point.

Video Games get to stretch "how powerful" a character is a bit for gameplay.

maybe Thanos is just really weak against the powers of pro wrestling and the Avengers are a bunch of nerds who don't know that they should have gotten Pentagon jr to break his gauntlet-ing arm

I accept that she is boring and unlikable, but "How can she be in a game with lesser powered heroes she will just break the game!" is the dumbest thing I have ever seen said in a conversation about the character.

People tend to get more annoyed at "woke" diversity heroes when they replace well-known and liked characters. Ms. Marvel has never really been the same character for long, and they usually dump the name pretty quick (mostly because the name is kinda dumb). So there's a lot less baggage to the name than, say, Thor or Iron Man. And, at least in my opinion, the first Khan Ms. Marvel series was at least fairly good; it obviously has the baggage of her being a token character, but the concept was decent enough and Khan herself is pretty likable.

It also probably helps that Khan becoming Ms Marvel didn't completely shit all over Carol like Jane Foster,Riri Williams and Amadeus Cho did with their respective heroes.

Pretty much. Carol had already changed names to Captain Marvel by then, so nobody was using the name anyway. Though I think Carol's also only used the name Ms. Marvel for like 25% of her existence as a character anyway, so her connection to the name isn't exactly the same as Thor, Stark or Banner in the first place.

More relevant to the game itself, conceptually Khan isn't the worst entry point into the world of the Avengers. Assuming the game is as they say and you actually play as different heroes in specific story missions and she's just the storyline protagonist to keep things moving, it could work okay. If she's the primary character that you play as throughout the single-player game, then I'd be more cynical.

Sorry what the fuck are you talking about?

Crystal Dynamics are the guys developing it and Square Enix are just the publisher/owns the rights to the game.
 
At first when I saw the trailer and people were complaining about how the heroes didn't look like the Avengers from the movies, I was like, ok let's be reasonable, they probably can't pay the actors to have their faces in the video game.

But now they make 'literally who?' the main character? What are they thinking?
