Hit the 2 week mark yesterday and for the most part everything is going good, but I’ve hit a snag with healing of the skin graft for glansplasty. Unfortunately the graft didn’t take as good as initially thought and its mostly all sloughed off at this point with a lot of unpleasant gunk beneath. I don’t know what this will mean for the appearance of my glans in the end. I’m assuming at the moment that it will end up healing pretty lumpy/lopsided and I may need a redo in the future or could potentially cover it up with tattooing. Since it’s still healing at this point though, there isn’t much I can do but speculate. Besides the glans appearance another thing I’m dealing with is that the work on my tip to give me a more tapered look means there is a scab right at my urethral opening. For awhile this wasn’t causing too big an issue with my stream, but its now got just the right amount of scabby pucker to cause me to literally spray instead of having a stream. I manage to pee on both sides of the toilet at the same time and have opted to just put down pee pads around my go to toilet to compensate. This should definitely be temporary, I’ve had work near my tip before and that resulted in a temporarily bad stream as well. So once the scabs are gone and the skin settles into smoothness again it should go back to normal.
I’m still really pleased with the scrotal lift work and its already entering the scar phase of healing. There are a couple stubborn suture knots I may have to work on removing manually to get it to finish healing, but other than that it looks good. There's been an uptick in the mobility of that tissue as well. Immediately post op moving my penis did not move any of the surround skin past the incision line, and it’s finally starting to move my scrotum again when my dick moves. Still quite a ways off from being able to jerk off like normal again, but I’m happy to see healing come along so well. I don’t have anything noteworthy for the stomach. Still looks about the same as a week ago, still swelling in the area. As for my arm, starting yesterday I’ve been leaving it unwrapped since it finally no longer hurts not being compressed. I still have limited rotation of it just from where it pulls on the scar line, but my hand is basically back to normal. A lot of spots on my arm are hyper sensitive, I had this with the last excision surgery as well. I’m hoping it’ll settle down once all the swelling is gone from arm and nerves aren’t being pressed on but have to wait and see.
Overall this felt like an easy surgery and recovery, minus the mental toll from seeing a wound not heal as expected, and I am already back to 100% of my day to day activities. I’ve got lots of summer plans I’m looking forward to actually being able to do thanks to the quicker recovery and cant wait to get scheduled for my next stage once this is all healed enough to take proper stock of.
