SsethTzeentach - Hey hey people

My personal theory is that one of his parents is American, but Sseth himself was raised in like Scandinavia or Holland. He's way more proficient and natural at speaking than the vast majority of esls, which suggests that he was exposed to the language at a very early age; but he has enough idiosyncrasies that seem equally deeply ingrained, and disqualify him from being a true native speaker.

It would help explain his Russian Jew larp, because 1. there aren't that many in Western Europe, and 2. the few that are still tend to be very plugged into Russian culture. The kind of references and callbacks Sseth makes to slavshit isn't on the level you'd expect from a second-generation zhid who came to the West after the wall fell. It does start make more sense if you assume he's Jewish-American with a more distant but still above-average connection to the old country.

Either that, or he's pulling some 6d linguistic belote and is tricking both Murifats as Eurofags into thinking he might be one of their own.
I think he is/was an Israeli solely for the Teva stock joke he did in one of his videos. It's the kind of cultural joke that is obscure enough to not be a repost.

Pharaoh wasn't a great game. Seth needed to fill the vid with ancient Egyptian myths to elevate the game and vid. The city-building was actually shallow, unrealistic, and goofy.
Fire departments and architects on every corner, lol. It was an 'insta-delete' for me in the early 2000s.
But, I always enjoy his videos.
Caesar was better, but not much. Everyone was trying to capture the lightning that was the Civilization series (which was great, for the time).
"Give me more SOLDIERS, noble leader..." Still rings in my head...

No hate, but I feel he could really do some voice work, if not for his speech impediment(s).
Zeus was probably the best Impressions Games citybuilders that I played, from both a graphic and gameplay perspective, though to be fair, I never played Emperor.

Depends on the media he was exposed to fairly young? Many Europeans I've befriended got a fast-track into English via video-games, MMO's, voice-chat, anime dubs etc. It's not just limited to Europe either.

Parents in the US recently complained about Pepper Pig indirectly giving kids a British accent.

Meanwhile, Japanese based wrestler HIKARU SHIDA learnt English via Harry Potter.
That and dating Kenny.

Finished his DLive streams. I kinda wish he would have kept going, especially once he started playing Indigo Prophecy, but at least he ended on a high note. He said a couple of times he thinks streaming makes content creators lazy, and I couldn't help but think of Metokur. Due to Sseth's constant playing it on stream I gave Domina a try and while it's definitely fun I can see why he hasn't made a video on it - it's pretty shallow and once you train a good gladiator the game kinda snowballs; I don't think there's enough there even for one of his shorter reviews.

With Jewish culture it is- you look up to the sky. You see that it's blue... and you blame Palestine.

Domina has fantastic Twitch features mind. Chat members can become the slaves, plus vote on who lives and dies. Most recent update enabled channel points for betting on fights

His streams are some of his best content. It's a shame that Dlive stopped paying him and fell to Chinese tyranny.

They're basically like Jim streams. He has a funny thing to show you and it's actually funny. He's very knowledgeable about that funny thing and is funny himself.

I'm happy they are only in month long stints though. I think if he had continued weekly streams he would turn out like Jim.

Not to say I wouldn't mind another run of them.

I think I played nearly all from Caesar 2 onwards, although the merging of the province and city was a con. The map was too small. Caesar IV wasn't stable when I got it, and seemed to have have higher difficulty level, as though some of its fans' suggestions spoiled it. Children of the Nile was for me an heir of the series. Caesar IV seemed to almost rigidly need certain city layouts, while COTN was more open.

Caesar IV felt like they were trying to employ new age graphics in a way that didn't really work, while the older Pharaoh games were fun in a chaotic low res sort of way. IMO Zeus and Poseidon were the peak because they have a very stable gameplay, aren't ridiculously easy or hard, have great graphics, and the city mechanics are pretty tight. From what I've seen, Emperor borrows on a lot of those concepts but get rid of the mythology, which IMO is a real downside.

I don't think I played COTN, though its graphics and gameplay seem really interesting where I might give it a look.

I quite liked Emperor, but the Chinese setting was of less interest. I prefer temples given simple bonuses to gods walking around, but Zeus had a smooth, fluent city building mechanic with a simple, but well made kingdom element.

COTN is still good. They upgraded the graphics of the RTS games, but most of all, the mechanics are strong.

I would say Emperor is the best in the series. Religion using up a variety of resources, and walls really make for aesthetic compact cities.
