If he is out of normal games to make videos on then there is only so much more he can do porn game wise too. I don't think we're quite there yet, hence why I'm optimistic in waiting for more content, but I've been wrong before.

Yeah, the comedy in this video was a stale. It wasn't even the game, the issue with the video is Seth pretty much just narrating a Let's Play rather than creating his typical video with comedy cuts and abrupt meme references.

Even though it's trending #9, definitely a miss in terms of comedy.

The amount of censorship takes a substantial amount of time, and Seth sounds tired. I really hope he doesn't get burned out and turn into another vapid YouTuber. It would be better for him to retire gracefully than try to remain relevant, if he is feeling burnt out.

I can't say I'm happy to see him descending into (more and more) sex and censorship for views, but I can say that I'll still be around to watch it

Technically speaking, as far as publicly accessible lore goes, he was at his peak on the drugs and he is currently not on them.

Well, hey, if this goes anything like the civvie thread, it's going to oscillate between "he's finished, lost his touch" and "he's back! amazing video!" ad nauseum.

I understand that people think the censorship probably took a while, but please understand that if you haven't used a video editing program, you are making that statement out of your ass. He's drag-dropping gifs and tweening them and highlighting certain areas (inconsistently) to hit with a censor effect. Whoah, rocket science. This looks like he shat it out in a weekend to throw some red meat and make some easy cash.

It was fine for what it is. I prefer that he didn't try to make jokes about the game. See, I can't call myself an expert in hentai games, so him just describing what the basic goals and mechanics of the game were is funny. Like when his Doctor Jekyl, Mandalore, did the Anonymous Agony walkthrough, I really didn't need much in the way of commentary to soak in the art before me.

I think people are overly harsh on this, it was a mediocre one, but I still enjoyed it. A lot of the humor comes from how absurd the game is, which worked for me, as I likely never would of heard of it otherwise. And it's not like him doing a shock video of a porn game is new, Recitear was way more grotesque than this.

However, the speed run doesn't count unless you post the whole run, @Ssethzeentach. I know you have it.

I admit I looked on Speedrun and Twin Galaxies immediately after to see if he actually got it acknowledged for the meme and he didn't.

I think he disqualified himself for the speedrun for "cheating" in the game. So it wouldn't have counted even if Breeders had real speed-run rules.

To be fair, speed running this game would probably need a 'One Hand' and 'Two hands' category. While not disqualified, Sseth's 2 hands run would be like a No glitch Speed run, where nobody cares about the category.

That description alone was enough to get me to not play the game. It really is impossible for the yayoi phenotypes to outgrow their chinese roots, isn't it?

Yeah, pretty much how it always goes. My SOP for any disappointing video release by people I follow on YT (AvE, Sseth, Civvie are my main 3) is to go back and watch one of the myriad other better videos they've posted in the past again.

That and I remind myself that Star Trek: The Next Generation had some stinkers during its run but overall was a fantastic show.

Evenicle's definitely the most hardcore game I've ever heard of in regards to disturbing content. Rapelay's the funnier one to bring up because of the name, but Evenicle's a non-stop rape fest.

Ehh, oversells it a lot. I never finished Evenicle so maybe it goes downhill but while there are not-hecking-wholesome things going on in the story but it's pretty tame by Japanese Rape Game standards. Most of the content is still consensual and the normal standard of the rape game genre is basically throwing difficulty at you explicitly to bad end you into getting raped. You go hours between rape scenes, meanwhile Monster Girl Quest every battle is more or less trial and error puzzles with gotchas and you get raped if you fuck them up.

never played a Rance game? made by the same people who did Evenicle but that game is tame by compression.
 
I couldn't even get through five minutes of the Breeders of Nephelym video (though trying to watch it on my lunch break didn't help either). Using Subway Surfers and Family Guy footage as censorship for a whole bit was funny at first, but it got old quickly, and I didn't even finish the video. It also just felt... off, like it was missing the editing style and timing of his older vids, including reviews he put out this year too, even. I'd rather Sseth just take a break for a couple months and come back after New Year's if this is what he makes on a burnout trajectory. It would be better for everyone.

And please, for the love of Yahweh, no more futa games. One was enough.
