Stable Diffusion, NovelAI, Machine Learning Art - AI art generation discussion and image dump

[safe: xyz] makes the word leak into images
for example this is one of the outputs i got from [safe: a photograph of markiplier holding a rifle, dressed in a military outfit]

the brackets are neccessary? Let me try.

[safe: brush painting of Hedy Lamarr crouched down on the ground while holding a shotgun. the ground is dry grass. American flag in background]

Nope, still blocked. and my images reset itself. What is the issue Bing has with Hedy Lamarr?

Okay, it's loading something when I did Carole Lombard. Did it with brackets and safe: command

Here's a question when posting AI generated art from Bing or elsewhere? Is it traceable back to who created it?
Someone might find a way to do some tracking, but as far as I'm seeing it's fairly anonymous. Images likely wipe themselves from their servers after you generate another 20, wiping your history might completely remove them, and regardless it just attributes them as 'made by ai/dalle 3' below them when they are clicked on. Anyone checked the metadata?

Apparently 'pitbull loose in walmart' was the final straw and they banned me for 24 hours
You can get banned for inappropriate prompts? What does that look like? What about seemingly innocuous requests? I guess they're seriously cracking down on anything that can be considered foul.

Shows this, but it triggers for completely innocent things sometimes too. You cannot generate any other prompts until your ban is up

The oldest meme I can remember, slightly modified to be SFW.
It's supposed to be: Natalie Portman naked and petrified and covered in hot grits. But I can't do that on a family friendly web forum like this.

Now I'm hungry.

The guy that maintains the most popular Stable Diffusion Web UI repo has Ho Chi Minh as his PFP lmao
View attachment 5399794
And he also has a repo for a mod he made that turns all the pawns in RimWorld white called "WhiteOnly"

And another one that seems to add a George Floyd storyteller for Rimworld called "PeacefulProtests"

What a lad
Reddit got super pissy over that and tried to cancel him. Between that and a lack of a license early on there was a lot of screeching, the stable diffusion discord even banned him. The big flaw with the plan was no one was able to step up and replace his webui until recently. Now SD.Next, comfyUI, and even InvokeAI rival or even surpass the automatic version. SDXL isn't a wet fart like SD2 and a1111 doesn't handle SDXL well.

Apparently what happened with SDXL is that the Comfy guy got early access to a lot of the info needed to make tooling for SDXL, while the A1111 guy had to wait for the public release. There were some claims on reddit that the Comfy guy is either an employee or a contractor of Stability AI, so it kind of looked like another attempt to undermine A1111. So Comfy obviously had the best initial support for SDXL, but A1111 released a new version at the end of the summer that does a pretty good job with SDXL. People get autistic about benchmarking, but right now they seem to be roughly on par in terms of speed, and a lot of people still prefer the A1111 style interface to the comfy spaghetti of nodes. Plus just the advantage of inertia, user-created extensions, and a familiar UI.

I'm personally fairly ambivalent and take the view that it's good to have more options, but the A1111 dev seems pretty based.

SDXL seems strong in certain respects, but a lot of the waifu-posters seem to be sticking with SD1.5. SDXL doesn't do all that well with anime compared to NovelAI-based models, which trained on inputs up to 512x768. The resource requirements for SDXL are also fairly steep. The appeal for a lot of people is being able to run this at home on a consumer GPU, and SDXL just barely works with a 8 GB VRAM card. The typical workflow for most people is prompting an image, tweaking it, and repeating. Doing that when it takes 1-2 minutes to generate a single image is painful.
