Stable Diffusion, NovelAI, Machine Learning Art - AI art generation discussion and image dump

Well this made my day, and most likely a lot of future days.
This is an amazing new toy, especially for someone with zero artistic ability like me.
Even my by now probably decades old 1060 generates in under a minute.

Let me share my very first generated artwork of "man-made horrors beyond your comprehension"

As for the extremely autistic discussion about if this is "art" and it's impact on the world, I'd say it's like every new tool we ever added to our toolbox. It might make some jobs obsolete, and if it does it will create new jobs - working it properly would became a new form of art and craftsmanship.
I might just be biased as I was really into the creation of Vocaloid back in the days, a software to replace singers. It obviously didn't - but created a lot of enjoyable art. A lot of people who would themselfs not create the art if they had no singer at their disposal.
It lead to the creation of loads of shit, as there was obviously still a lot of craftsmanship required to compose an enjoable song, and the best of the best even emulated emotions in the computer-manipulated voices.
And it's still a fun toy to mess around with.

Slowly trying to get it to make a realistic or 3d Mung Daal from Chowder using a drawing and img2img.

Language models have very poor understanding of vague metaphors. The AI is at its best when the non-sequitur is something concrete, but hallucinates retardedly wrong interpretation, like a genie granting a wish, just not in a way you'd want it.

Most of the time, you have to translate abstract shit to the specific, like for a retard "stalin holding his penis, stalin slapping trotsky's face with his penis..." and so on, and even then one would have to inpaint a lot. Another approach could be a gay porn frame shot for img2img where two guys literally slap each others dicks or something which provides a lot of context what you mean, and the model does just a body swap for stalin/trotsky.

The model isn't smart enough to elucidate something like a "penis battle" on its own, and to be honest, neither are most hack artists who are unable to expand vague scene label into something sensible. They either copy existing shit like img2img above would, or just shrug their shoulders.
Yeah. I figured I would directly paste the prompt into it for fun and then try to get the desired result later.

2022 registration date, so you weren't here for April Fool's a couple of years ago when Null made everybody's profile pictures anime avatars...
I remember when he put everyone in hazmat suits to protect against Corona-chan, I remember when he made the moon come down onto the site - when did he do the anime avatar thing?

That's just using the SD 1.4 model with only "nigger" in the positive and a totally blank negative. That's how the AI understands the word "nigger" completely by itself. I'm honestly kind of proud.
now put in just "faggot" and see what it outputs

Why do people keep insisting on this retarded lie? This exists solely to displace people at their jobs, nothing more.
So? All innovation was motivated by doing something faster &/or better.
Driving down costs, maximizing profit, being better than the competition is an inherent trait of any innovation. What we're debating is where the line ends, where people should be protected and our morals.
The best example I can think of right now is how the invention of automated dialing was specifically made to make phone switchboard operators obsolete.
I personally don't think that even the intention to innovate for the reason of automating jobs is inherently wrong in any way.
Also being able to synthesize a Voice didn't put singers out of a job, even fucking Russel Greer still hires people to sing instead of automating his 'work'.

Bonus AI art of "they took our jobs", which looks like any screenshot of your pick of the new Star Wars, Game of Thrones, or Lord of the Rings shows (even if a bit derpy close-up)00006-3655965809-they took our ((jobs)), high quality, masterpiece, best quality.png).

Huh. I'm writing a graphic novel and working with an artist. I'm happy AI art is actually managing to gain a foothold, but I'm not sure how it'll do with certain details(Firearm safety catch on an AR, gun magazines, optics etc.)

I don't see how this is any different from illegal immigration, economic migrants are both more cost effective and work harder than national natives. Why should a native of a country have their job opportunities protected from an illegal immigrant if they shouldn't be protected by automation? I don't see the intention of letting illegal immigrants cross the border for the purposes of financially draining their host country as inherently wrong in any way.

Imagine being so defensive and jealous of a Robot lmao.

Do you have any fun ever?

Probably the most boring user on this site lol.

Ah but it is different, as it is innovation which does not implicitally harm other humans.
To continue your argument: illegal immigration is profitable because they're cheaper than natives.
If we were to continue on this path, slave labour would be on top of human labor cost-efficiency. The only reason we don't usa that is because of the law - and further on hopefully morals.
Even now, we import loads of goods from China et all. because their human labor costs less; and with time they create the most efficiant infrastructure for their exports.
Automation has the inherent advantage to not intrinsically hurt another person (with a low wage, or inhumane treatment). That's why technological innovation is not comparable to just letting cheaper people do it.
But please, if you want to continue this discussion, let's use this thread, because I don't think we're adding much to the general thread, and because I want to see this thread thrive.

One great 80s metal album cover as a bonus <3
