Stable Diffusion, NovelAI, Machine Learning Art - AI art generation discussion and image dump

Can definitely see this putting some nsfw artists out of a job, especially as these become better optimized/trained and powerful hardware becomes cheaper. First day using this and this is what ive got so far;

Any artist really. This is undoubtedly amazing software but I'm pretty terrified as an artist. Thought we were the safe ones from the rise of automation taking jobs but we truly are living in the future, so of course art can now be generated by a robot. Of course it can.

The funny thing and the reason why so many horny artists are whining like little bitches is that with some light PS retouching on the most uncanny parts (like the eyes), you can totally pass it as your own art...

It's still a whole workflow. If what you're doing is completely interchangeable and disposable then yeah, it's interchangeable with you. But I've been generating lewd animes all day for over a week and it still takes at least a whole day to get something to a point I consider "finished"; I've only gotten about 2.8 things I'd publish in that time that aren't generic accidents.
Meanwhile in my experience working with professional artists we've always needed multiple iterations of assets that conform to pretty specific specs. This isn't a substitute for that, yet. At most I think it'd help em concept faster and skip over the lazy use of generic textures they grabbed from GIS, which is good because having to police that is lame.

Anyway here's some of that fruit I mentioned yesterpage:

Thing is, people that will pay for commissions, will still pay for them. The people who won't pay, won't. Otherwise why would people buy an nft when they can just find an image online?

I really think people are being overreactive. If anything you will see an increase of people interested in seeing the drawing process. I.E when you send them art, they will request footage/proof it was hand drawn. It might also create a weird social hierarchy that looks something like: Non-artists<Artists that use AI resources<Digital artists<Real drawing/painting.

People will start to value "natural art" and "technique" and it might lead to a renascence of physical art mediums in common popularity.

But that's just my two cents.

NSFW pinup artists or ones that rely on OC commissions for sure, but I think we are still a little ways away from getting really good on demand hardcore porn. Any attempts at that stuff by AI just ends up somewhere between erotic and eldritch.

AI gen Waifu art is truly a gift to mankind.

Sure, but it will still syphon away a good amount of customers. If an AI can make your OC or waifu for cheap then why would you drop $40 on some random artist? The only people uneffected are those artists who are extraordinarily talented and have a unique style or already have a dedicated fan base. Good luck and godspeed to any digital artists trying to break into the current market now.

Well that really sucks, but I guess now their mediocre fetish/generic cartoon art won't get them anywhere and they will actually have to develop skill or get a different job.

Have you seen how many artists stagnate when they reach a certain level because they have no incentive to get better? I guess they can blame capitalism once again for having to put in more effort. This will weed out the ones trying to make a quick buck and the ones actually passionate and dedicated to the artform. They might need to get a real job on the side, but if they truly put in the hard work, they will be just fine.

The world is oversaturated with generic digital artists, I'm sorry that I have a certain lack of sympathy for them, but if this causes them to give up, they never cared in the first place. But no, let's ban AI instead.

Okay, I definitely fucked something up in the setup. This is what I get when I try the test image from the guide:

This looks absolutely nothing like the example given.
That's so far off my guess is you're using the standard SD model rather than the leaked NAI checkpoint

I'll give you this as a consolation prize:

You sure it's not your GPU bottlenecking?
Should be deterministic with the seed/settings from a tutorial. GPU issues would just slow it or not produce an output at all.
For standard 512x gens anyway. (People have been finding variability recently with upscaling, hypernetworks etc between cards. Which are patched frequently; remember to git pull erryday)

Apparently, some GPUs just can't complete the test correctly. My anime plug suit girl would always render with 3 legs no matter what.
I've got a 3060-ti, so my GPU shouldn't be having any problems with this.

Edit: Okay, I found the problem. The problem was that I'm still a fucking retard, and apparently I can't read for shit today. For some reason, I was convinced that I was supposed to use Euler A and 20 steps, when I was supposed to be using Euler and 28 steps.
