Stable Diffusion, NovelAI, Machine Learning Art - AI art generation discussion and image dump

I suck at image-to-image so far, but then again I'm using free shit so whatever. Tried to make some Piper Perri Surrounded Cyberpunk, switched to text-to-image.

Fritz Langs nightmares came to life, the second one has a nice background :)
Gonna stick with 1.4 cause of all the hubbub I heard about certain elements being omitted from the AI, but it's good to hear that image gen has gotten better.
It is funny seeing everyone crying "but muh titty program is broken now" - I'm pretty sure, after a few days, the degenerates already have a new model for their furry-tentacle-trans-porn.

The SD 2.0 page recommends installing xformers, is this something every user would benefit from or just those doing more advanced things?
If it's the former, can someone translate the install instructions to 'retard' for me?

Should I try it? I have a gtx 750 but seeing that most of the work is done with beefier newer cards I am kinda affraid of frying it and/or just waisting time

I saw some chart showing that the minimum req is a GTX 970, which I'm using. It's working well and no overheating, just a bit slow. The 750 almost guaranteed does not have enough vram. 4gb is probably the minimum.

1 GB of VRAM? Don't bother. I wouldn't bother with 4 GB.
It's still worth playing around with if you're interested but only have 4GB. 512x512 Euler 20 steps takes 25-30 seconds and I can't really generate something higher than ~1218 x 896, but the upscaling is really good.

I mostly use it for img2img on farm related people.

Bummer. I just wanted to play around with the models. It is not for me then for the time beign

Thanks anyway frens
If you have a semi-decent processor and a large amount of memory you can try playing around with one of the builds that uses your CPU instead of your GPU. It'll be slow, but you can run it and experiment without paying someone else for time on their machines.

Stable Diffusion added a DreamBooth style training module over the Thanksgiving weekend and it is with great frustration that I'm here to share the results of the testing so far.

DreamBooth is a different style of training from the native Stable Diffusion training. It was originally cooked up by the trannies at Google and functions by removing everything from the starting database then replacing it with a database created solely from the trained images. This makes it really good at learning the thing you give it. So far I'd say it stands head and shoulders above the results from the native Stable Diffusion training.

Sadly, we've now learned what happens when you merge the DreamBooth trained module with a different module. It gradually subsumes the library of the module you merged it with, which means everything is tainted with a touch of the merged results.

For instance, we trained on Tracy J Butler's style because we'd run it through the native SD training and wanted to compare. Well, everything -- no matter what style was requested -- took on a hint of Tracy J Butler's style. Super disappointing.

We did teach it Kiwis though, and I figured that would be cool to share since everyone here who's played with generating AI art probably knows how hard it is to get a decent kiwi bird.

Ok, I said fuck it and decided to pull the trigger. I took the guide from the OP for CPU AI and I really do not if I messed up.

When I tried my first prompt, the image was "finished" instantly but there is no image anywhere, my 2nd attempt is still stuck on "Initializing" for about 1 hour, have not seen any performance hit or high resources usage whatsoever

Will try again in the morning, maybe my pc is already showing its age

New Stable Diffusion update reportedly nerfs ability to use celebrity likenesses, create NSFW images, and copy artist styles.

I think basically all this means is more third-party forks are coming because the tiddy genie isn't going back in the bottle.

Anyway here's one of the first things I generated after getting this shit installed last night: a demon playing a guitar solo in the style of Frank Frazetta
