Ah I forgot about Bernard Manning somehow. Roy Chubby Brown I was never into, mostly because I found the whole costume-shtick a bit offputting. Agreed on Lee Evans though.

At the least, you can tell all three of those guys were purely interested in saying/doing things that would be funny. As opposed to the ANGRY LEFTWING generation that came after, where it seems like the only objective was to rant about Margaret Thatcher.

Yeah Roy Chubby Brown's outfit was completely at odds with what he was saying on-screen. I remember my parents having Roy Chubby Brown VHS tapes and instantly thinking he looks fun! Can I watch that?! And they said no.

Frankie Boyle used to be funny when he'd personally insult audience members but he's turned into a leftist wanker now.

A friend of a friend - almost 15 years ago now - used to work in stage management, or something like that. I remember him very clearly telling me about a Frankie Boyle show of some sort that they were working on, and how Frankie Boyle was a miserable little cunt who was scared to speak to anyone, and would eat his lunch alone up in the audience seating.

Not that it has anything to do with anything, but it's a nice image I conjure up in my mind whenever I see his face.

I really believe he sold out for his children's sake which has basically killed his comedy and rendered it inert as he has become another mouthpiece for the leftwing establishment.

I read his first book at the height of his King of Edgy fame. His politics have always been there, in it he eulogises Chomsky, and he’s a Glaswegian of Irish Catholic descent and a good chunk of them are inclined that way. I think the ‘insecure nerd’ makes more sense than him being a sellout. It feels like to me that he’s always wanted to be heard, I mean he’s a proud socialist who at one point accepted a column for the right wing populist rag The Sun, and now he’s trying some vague attempt at being authentic. However, he’s a little shit who can dish it out but can’t take it and it’s become especially apparent now that he’s gone around policing other people for what they say.

Whatever way you feel about his actions, he has had multiple Netflix specials, TV shows, and has another show coming out. So he's still successful, not 'washed up.' The state of his career is a seperate issue from how badly you wish he was cancelled.

Anyway, here's some other names and reasons they are LOLCows:

Michael Rapaport - Jewish comedian, total wigger, calls some white people crackers, gets in fights. Hit Ari Shaffir in a comedy club.

Kevin Brennan - ex-SNL, older brother of Neal (they hate each other), always starting drama, gets punched all the time. Antony Cumia orbiter.

Chad Zumock - Antony Cumia orbiter. I don't know anything about his comedy, bit of a WANNABE. Started rumor that Patton Oswalt killed his wife.

Brendan Schaub - has his own thread here. Generates more laughs for being hated than with his joke writing.

Ari Shaffir - grifted his way to a sort of career from a being a cloakroom boy at a club. Fled the country after shitting on Kobe Bryant's death. Only figured out how to be funny in the last couple of years. Massive anger issues. Spiked Bert Kreisher with MDMA, fights everyone, put his own shit on other comedians car, has permanent bleeding haemerhoid, throws bloody toilet paper at people that piss him off.

Bobby Lee - beaten up by Ari Shaffir 3X, dominated by girlfriend who he can't get to move out when they broke up, had wild drama with Schaub and his friends. He can't do comedy at all, and regularly strips naked on stage when his 'improv' falls flat. Exposes dick to other comedians.

Kurt Metzger - huge politi-sperg. Can't argue issues without becoming outraged and doing 'whataboutism.' Has ADHD but runs his own podcast where he can't finish a sentence due to ADHD. Cancelled for defending minor comic accused of rape. Fights other comics.

Sam Tripoli - conspiracy grifter.

Own Benjamin - conspiracy grifter who may believe he is the messiah.

Whitney Cummings - shouts at audience like a female Joe Rogan. Similarly unfunny. Goes to 12 step programs just because she is related to alcoholics or some shit. Massive animal rights fanatic. Injured by own dog. Filmed herself pissing on a lawn - full frontal - because she was teaching her dog to piss.

Bobby Lee also repeatedly told a story about raping a child in Mexico. His fans want everyone to believe it's just a joke. But going by his other behaviors I doubt it. He's clearly a sick guy.

This guy has had a bit of infamy over in Cleveland for being a drunken asshole. He was pretty unfunny as a cohost on a local radio show and ended up losing his gig by getting plastered and wrecking a company car.

This month there's a whole thing about him getting jumped and given a black eye for dissing Anthony Cumia, or that he did it to himself, IDK/IDGAF.

As for "big names": James Acaster and Joe Lycett. Two painfully unfunny dudes, who get by relying on political slogans and twitter level comedy.



Onto controversial opinions - I will watch Gervais stand ups because it cathartic to hear a mainstream person tell those jokes, however a professional comedian responding to offensive tweets he received on stage will never not be cringe.

James Acaster was painful on TM. Being angry/annoying/righteous is his shtick, but he could not just let it go

That reminds me... Phil Wang (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlxB04VQ5E0). I feel I should be able to call the police for my eyes being assaulted by his clothes. Between Acaster and lil' Wang I had to skip that season
