How have we made it 19 pages and not one of you fuckers has brought up Mike Birbiglia yet? Well, I'll rectify that now. His entire schtick is stories about what a loser he is. Which would be fine, except he is such a painfully unfunny faggot that his routine just kinda bummed me out and even made me a little uncomfortable. Since that isn't typically what people want when they're going to see a standup COMEDY, the fact that he gets consistent work is one of the most baffling phenomena ever.

I saw him being praised on various clickbait farms and that was all I needed to know. He was occasionally on some of the O&A episodes where he sucked but he never tended to say a whole lot.

That reminds me of Andrew Dice Clay -- a Jew who pretends to be a Brooklyn-Italian goombah. (He's wholly unfunny, but not a lolcow.)

It felt like he was put there to fuck things up for white comedy in the 80s and 90s that paved the runway for black comedians to dominate the genre. Not criticizing the comedians like Chappelle and Rock, they were hilarious and it neither Pryor or Murphy were doing those specials very often.

I remember in the mid 90s Dice got assmad that nobody was interested in his act. Meanwhile fellow one-note comedian Yakov Smirnoff took his act to Branson and made bank. His act wasn’t my thing but he at least found his niche; Dice was a faggot if he couldn’t be subversive in the mainstream. I remember him doing various podcasts a decade ago where he did the whole “I was only pretending to be retarded unfunny” shtick and that he wasn’t a one-trick comedian, honest!

I could believe it, honestly.

I hardly found it surprising when Silverman threw him under the bus given that she could barely balance her nature as a social ladder climbing starfucker with her contempt for everything that came out of his mouth, even when he was healthy. I remember her constantly wrinkling her nose at him anytime he said anything that wasn’t kosher, even if it was obviously just a bit.

Hearing that about Conan, though, really bums me out. These Late Night talk show hosts really lost their balls once the overton window shifted as far as it did.

Very, VERY few people knew Norm was dying or even sick for that matter. Most of them just thought he was super flakey and hard to get ahold of at most. Even guys like Sandler, Spade and chappelle weren't clued in on his cancer. The man simply didn't wanna be a bother or a charity/sympathy case. And even then, his defense of them boiled down to "these are my friends, and more importantly, human beings. They shouldn't have their entire careers and livelihoods taken away for mistakes.
