Star Trek - Space: The Final Frontier

What I want is a game where you're the captain of a ship during the Dominion War or something, lost behind enemy lines, and you have to survive. Gotta keep the ship maintained, gotta keep the officers alive, and so on. Some officers are better than others and you have to manage the crew. What I would love is several different characters with actual stories, rather than names and stats, so there's more immersion. Gotta have a good amount of them, too, since officers tend to get ragdolled in the bridge during combat.

Does it take place during the time of the show? If so, yawn, reset button... Just like the real show. If it's after the show, there could be something interesting there.
It would actually be brilliant... to create a star trek Rogue-like and set it on Voyager. Let the repeated runs you have to make be explained by the constant reset buttons.

I'd play the shit out of it, in particular if you could participate in some of the high-stakes battles featured in the series. Or shit we never were shown, like Dax flying into that super dense star cluster to take out a Dominion sensor array.

There's another VR game that just got announced. It's a horror game where your playing as a Vulcan fighting sci Fi zombies on a defiant class ship. You get to nerve pinch zombies and use your alien resistance to the infection to solve puzzles.

It looks cool, just kinda far out for Trek.

New Star Trek game and it's set on Voyager to boot, wasn't expecting that.
Lily Orchard be like:
I hope it’s not more Borg shit, dude. Every VOY season is Borg..
Wasn't there one game all about fighting the Borg? Think Linkara talked about it one time.

"I fail to see this as an efficient means of transportation, Mr. Paris."

"Come on, Tuvok! This was all the rage in the early 21st century!"

I'd personally prefer a game all about forging and maintaining alliances between different races, maybe set during Enterprise while the Federation is being formed.

I always thought that this basic premise would have been a better setup for Voyager than we got. Janeway and the crew get wormholed across the galaxy all the same, but it takes place during the darkest days of the Dominion War.

Just before they get teleported there’s some garbled transmission that sounds like there’s been an attack on Earth, which the audience of course knows is wrong, but the crew don’t because it gets cut off.

Now Janeway is stuck at the other end of the Galaxy, battling for survival, whilst also thinking that they might be the last remnants of Star Fleet. The crew decide that rather than heading home, they’ll instead head for Dominion space and attack them in the rear. As the series goes on they start rallying a fleet of allies along the way (who are always a warp jump behind for budgetary reasons).

It’s a much darker series, as they are desperate to get back to the fight and are willing to do whatever is necessary to get home. Janeway is going full Kurtz as time goes on, while the rest of the crew attempt to hold on to their ideals. When they meet USS Equinox they greet the crew as heroes and Captain Ransom becomes one of the main cast, he becomes a voice of reason for Janeway. Ransom wants to get his people home safe, Janeway just wants to avenge the Federation.

3-4 seasons in they reach Dominion space and Janeway and her fleet proceed to go full Direlewanger on their asses despite the war being over. The last season of the show is Janeway fighting the Founders, no one knowing who’s doing the attacking because it’s hit and run, Voyager was thought lost and the people that the Dominion are fighting aren’t acting very starfleet (rather than ketracel-white white necklaces, its Vorta ears).

Last few episodes would be Voyagers crew being debriefed and reintegrating into society, the political fallout, and how Starfleet deals with a crew that went full Hutu.

Anyway, that’s my fanfic of how Voyager might not have been a very middling show. Thanks for reading.

I just want a new updated Armada style game

That or another Elite Force would be OK by me too.
The fact that we never got an Elite Force III feels like they just set a big stack of money on fire for no reason. Flight sims died, adventure games died, even MMOs are just waiting to die. Meanwhile shooters never stopped being popular.

The fact that they only ever brought up the Dominion War on Voyager like twice (once as a joke when Andy Dick of all people mentioned it, and once when Torres had survivor’s guilt which, let’s be real, was half Eddington’s dumbass fault but I digress) was always just exhausting to me. They just wanted to keep pretending it was The Next Generation season eight, tooling around a galaxy that’s basically at peace. It would have made way more sense to just do that: shuffle the old crew off to different assignments, bring in new officers to the Enterprise-D. At least then they wouldn’t have had to waste money gutting and remodeling the TNG sets.

It's weird because you'd think with the Kazon, Vidians, Hirogen, Malon, and Borg all running around, the Delta Quadrant would have a more unstable power balance.
The Delta Quadrant really should be Borg country because of how OP they are. Which means that all the other Delta Quadrant species are untermenschen since they didn't get assimilated.

Depressing to think Q was already acting like a horny Reddit mod back in TNG. Come on. You’re telling me this Vash chick is supposed to be the galaxy’s femme fatale?
