I'm glad to see that people enjoyed SGU. I guess I'm not alone.

Oh fuck off Goldsman.
Since this show deals with Q dying, my new headcanon is that Wesley was such a stupid cunt, he gave everyone in the Q continuum Aids.

Also top notch use of the franchise with that "Project Khan" folder. Once more you can tell this is meant for non-Trekkies, who only have a vague familiarity with ST and its themes and setting.

What do non-Trekkies know about Star Trek?
Data and Picard are best buddies.
The Borg are the big bad evil guy endboss of all of Star Trek.

Or have we gone full circle and it only relates to this scene?

I am genuinely curious where they are going with S3 now. As in, I want to know how much more idiotic and disjointed it can become.
They bring back all the original cast, so I am almost expecting Wesley to be the Deus Ex Machina that'll fix everything... but then again, that's not STUNNING and BRAVE enough, so I guess he'll give his powers to that Android chick that also looks like the clone(?) daughter of the guy that looks like the guy that Data looks like. She'll fix everything and every little inconsistency in the show henceforth will be literally explained away with "a wizard did it".

One thing's for sure, Rich and Mike will suffer and that's always great fun to watch. I wonder if they'll end up making a re:View on S3, even though they said they wouldn't. If it's a large enough trainwreck (all signs point to yes), just for the hell of it. Literally.

God I want to punch his face so bad.
It's really Chuck Wendig levels of punchability.

I like that this is still a lose-lose for this smug prick because you either get used as a desperate hypeman for the most damaging era of star trek, or you do get used in one of these shows to remind everyone how much they hate your fuckin guts so they just threw you out into the wolves after this
Who in the fuck is gonna go "Aw yeah, they brought back THAT guy"

They say they won't, but they will, like a dog to vomit.
Yeah, I think Rich already threw in the towel at least once (I think twice, actually) with Discovery, maybe it was only in relation to that shitshow, but he got roped back into it by Mike and then apparently, Mike gave up and Rich roped Mike back into watching Picard S2.

They might be done for good or they might come back for one final hoorah to do a last single episode on S3. After all, it does bring in the clicks and there is so much more stuff for Kurtzman to defile. Like all these other iconic ST characters.

Yeah. After all:
Absolutely no one ever said:
Oh boy, I sure can't get enough of Will Wheaton and his iconic role of Wesley Crusher!

I remember people on forums back when DS9 was still airing were going full "not muh Trek".
To boldly sit on their ass LMAO! :lit:

They actually visited a lot of places, if anyone cares. Almost stupidly so, in fact. The entire upper echelon of officers routinely left on a runabout to visit some planet where the aliens tried to kill them.

As for Roddenberry, he considered any movie past TMP non-canon. And sometimes multiple episodes of TOS. And he said Starfleet needs to have king of sight nacelles, making the Defiant non-canon. He just said whatever would make him popular at the moment, and “canon” had to do with his own hurt feelings and money.
Khan's going to be black.
In the original series, Khan was Indian. I'd expect his skin would be rich in melanin.

There are many things to complain about in Nu Trek but casting is generally not one of them.

I didn’t watch the show, but I skimmed through the finale because I love Q. Pirated obviously.

The finale was as cringy as I thought it would be.

I hated how they ruined seven’s character, the lack of morals, the stupid retcons or how they ruined the best villain species, the borg, making them into a joke for a moral that would be corny even by my little pony standards.

Yet a miracle happened. Despite how stupid the idea of making Q mortal is, I still loved John De lancie’s final performance as Q.

Despite the horrible writing, I still loved him. He truly is the best part of the show.

Did anyone bother with Strange New Worlds? I had no idea it was airing until I saw it posted on one of my torrent trackers. I watched it and it was OK. Pike dealing with the knowledge of what will happen to him isn't super gay. They named a shuttle after the spore faggot from STD. Spock almost has sex and then only mentions Mikey Spock once. And the Second American Civil War is what kicks off the Eugenics Wars and WWIII.

So instead of an unknown calamity in the near future, one which is unknown because it can't be predicted, and because it's supposed to be a mirror to the audience, "its us if we're not careful", they've specified that it was specifically the "alt right" / political wrongthinkers who started a civil war, then Eugenics Wars, then WW3. Nu-Trek canon is conservatives caused the apocalypse that gave rise to the Federation.

They even showed footage from THE WORST DAY IN AMERICAN HISTORY Jan. 6. I can't wait to join Col. Greene in exterminating soyboy bugmen and other genetic mutants.
