Do people even give a shit about May 4th ever since Disney took over?

Actually May the 4th was coined in 2012, months before Disney purchased the Star Wars IP.
I didn't know that. All I know is I never paid it attention so I didn't know if it was an actual thing in the past.

For some reason this year in particular, my 65 year old mother in law texted me "May the 4th be with you," and some teacher set up a big diorama of his action figures at my oldest son's school. I've also seen a lot of those fake articles that are actually ads pop up saying stuff like "Test your Star Wars Knowledge before May 4th." I'm not on social media, but I took all this as there's been a huge push for it on Facebook or something this year.

The school made a big deal out of the March 10th MAR10 day BS too. People are actually latching onto this shit. Like, grown adults.

At least February 2nd being Hedgehog Day made sense for Sonic, because it was Sega's more executive and marketing decision that coined that said day to coincide the release of Sonic 3 for the Genesis back in 1994. There is really no excuse for May the 4th, Revenge of the 5th, Mar10 or some other bullshit manchild shit.

May 4th is just a regular day for me. I don't celebrate that day for anything.
We celebrate April 5th. First Contact day.

Or June 16th.

was there an explanation as to why the changelings were working for the borg? i don't think the borg broke the changelings out of the daystrum station. the changelings escaped by themselves. why would the changelings need to work for the borg (because all of the scene with the floating head and the amanda plummer, clearly established the floating head, i.e. borg queen, was in charge)? the changelings hate solids and they could have orchestrated a take over of starfleet by themselves.

i understand the changelings were used as a red haring and the borg were the main antagonist for tng, so you needed to have the borg be the final boss, but i can't get pass the leap in logic. if the changelings needed help from the borg, that would make sense, but they really didn't.

it sounded like the Changlings 2.0 somehow managed to get in contact with the borg Queen despite her being in hiding and undetectable, and somehow gave her power over them in exchange for revenge? My best guess is that the one Changeling masqueraded as the doctor that was torturing them and wandered around until it found some borg tech that they were able to remove from isolation and use to contact the queen, who then helped get them off the station, built a ship for them, and so on? but there's nothing in the story to support this theory.

It would have been so easy to write some bullshit like some Borg tech that was at Daystrum was accessed by the Borg Queen and used to assimilate them and the little electronic doodads that Borg usually have were not necessary because of their biology.

Nothing was explained onscreen, because season 3 was dreck. Yes it was better than S1 and S2 combined, but it was still garbage. People like it because of low expectations, and memberberry overload.

I've seen some brain damaged takes , but this is truly exceptional ,( trans genocide because Geneva Convention said so )
