What about us Stargate fans?
I dont know if we'll ever get a villain that good again. He was a unique combination of good writing and an actor that tried to play him beyond what was written to be.He is an absolute favorite Trek villain, especially my favorite
When do we get to bring up white genocide?View attachment 5128849
How does transitioning NOT fall under those two definitions? Say what you will about Tim Pool, but he does have a point about this stuff sterilizing entire groups.
I would rate your post and the tweet itself dumb, but mobile tor browser won't let me so just pretend I gave you negative internet points.i am looking at right leaning star trek twitter and came across this:

the cope is strong in this one. the federation is absolutely liberal. i would argue socialist. and the federation is no different than today's global homo. go to time 1:48.

the federation is absolutely liberal. i dont know how you can conclude differently. in a society where energy is infinite and replicators exist, the cost of all goods are basically free. i can see how the federation can be a nanny state and have exclusive rights to either the replicator or the energy that powers the replicators. so if you were a ordinary citizen on earth or a federation planet, you are adhere to the federation norms. and if you dont accept, then you will not have access to the modern conveniences of the 24th century. i can only conclude the federation is a nanny state, socialist organization.I would rate your post and the tweet itself dumb, but mobile tor browser won't let me so just pretend I gave you negative internet points.
Yea, it's a shame there will never ever be another Star Trek villain like him.I dont know if we'll ever get a villain that good again. He was a unique combination of good writing and an actor that tried to play him beyond what was written to be.
Imagine coping so hard about your physical retardation that you become mentally retarded, too.Same thing with the crippled and the deaf. Some have been brainwashed into thinking that it's an identity.

With today's writers, the Maquis would be another right-wing strawman instead of how nuance they were in 90s.the federation is absolutely liberal. i dont know how you can conclude differently. in a society where energy is infinite and replicators exist, the cost of all goods are basically free. i can see how the federation can be a nanny state and have exclusive rights to either the replicator or the energy that powers the replicators. so if you were a ordinary citizen on earth or a federation planet, you are adhere to the federation norms. and if you dont accept, then you will not have access to the modern conveniences of the 24th century. i can only conclude the federation is a nanny state, socialist organization.
this is no different than the current globo homo, liberal world order, that makes demands of other countries to either accept western ideals, like tranny story hour to little kids.
remember tng, ds9, voy were written in the 90s when the left was in their "tolerance" era. so respecting individual rights and toleration people you disagree with was considered liberal. thats why picard during tng would give these speeches about it. but as we can see today, what the left actually meant was tolerance as long as you conform to progressive ideals.
This applied to TOS and TNG (mostly), but I have to admit I don't consider anything past those to be actual Star Trek anyway, sort of like I don't consider anything past Peter Davison to be real Doctor Who.The federation may be liberal, but it's liberal in the original sense that the member nations were allowed to do their things their own way.
the 24th century/tng era only on-screen criteria in joining the federation was to be a warp capable world and a one-world government. i just have my doubts that the federation would allow tolerate traditions that challenged federation social norms, like the ferengi having women as 2nd class citizens.Federation members were allowed to keep their cultures, no matter how traditional. Worf had things that were always done a specific way. Not once have I seen an episode of a bunch of college students doing a big protest to coerce Bajor into giving up its traditions, and for example.
The federation may be liberal, but it's liberal in the original sense that the member nations were allowed to do their things their own way.

Ok fine. But you know what I wouldn't do? Put those people in situations where they are going to need to SEE or HEAR.I should point out that if you had your hearing gone for a very long time, relearning how to hear again might be pretty difficult. There's people who regained their sight after being blind for life and it just caused them constant problems as they couldn't process what they were seeing. I'd have to double check but there may be something similar going on with cochlear implants and people who have been deaf for a very long time.
I understand why some people wouldn't want their hearing or sight or limbs back after a lifetime without it, as they have gotten used to being without it and would require a massive amount of physical training to relearn how to use them, something that might be too difficult or not worth the effort to them
One of the rules for joining the Federation is your culture cant have a caste system. The federation may be liberal, but it's liberal in the original sense that the member nations were allowed to do their things their own way.

Yes, but they tell you that upfront. They don't institute that rule ex post facto. One of the rules for joining the Federation is your culture cant have a caste system.
