You only see that in the mirror universe. The Mirror universe was filled with cartoon characters, but they had an excellent dress code.

Although you do bring up a point that Rick Berman got consistently wrong about Vulcans; they did NOT adopt the bowl cut as the universal haircut. That was a man's hair choice. Vulcans in TOS had all kinds of elaborate hairstyles like T'Pring and T'Pau. It wasn't just Saavik doing her own thing.

Electron + positron = gamma rays, unless they smash together really hard and make particle soup
Other particle-antiparticle pairs also make particle soup

But the antimatter is just there to serve as an energy storage medium. A lot of hydrogen and a little antihydrogen makes a lot of hydrogen plasma. You can also make plasma by however impulse engines do it (inertial confinement with forcefields or something IDK) or by shooting it around a quantum singularity like the Romulans (and Bongs) do.

Even on severely damaged and/or abandoned ships?

Except on the K'Tinga class where gravity comes from one generator, the floor has gravity plates that all have their own power source, which creates a near infinite level of redundancy.

And yes, it is stated in the show, Sisko added gravity deckplates on his sailboat.

female sex appeal was always a staple of star trek. just look at the tos era.

the tng era still had this female sex appeal but it was more subtle. first two seasons, were the entire cast got to ware those one piece uniforms. it was uncomfortable to ware so the show got the main cast new uniforms. but still, the women got more form fitting uniforms then the men.

i think rick berman/manny cotto era star trek got the pervy status by some fans due to the 7 of 9 uniform.

did 7 of 9 need to be a catsuit? no. they could have put her in a regular starfleet uniform and the sex appeal would still work.

in current year star trek, female sex appeal is looked down upon. for a lack of a better term, current year star trek have women that are attractive but not sexy. also, we get emasculated men and overpowered women. almost like the showrunners are trying to do a gross over correction for a perceived wrong in star trek.

the reason for the sex appeal is to entice the main sci-fi demographic, males 18 to 50. if you are going to get rid of the sex appeal, then the stories star trek needs to tell better be entertaining to that demographic. unfortunately, it is not entertaining.
