Did you know there's a chain of burger joints in Taiwan called "Q Burger"? Yet they don't look like some isolated desert roadhouse.

I know it's been said before by people a lot smarter than I am, but Voyagers worst enemy was that reset button. Yeah, small things like Tom staying an ensign stuck for a bit, but the only major change to the status quo was swapping Kes for 7.

It could have been so much better if say, year of hell was actually a full season arc.
The reset button is Star Trek. Everything else was objectively a bad idea, typically shilled by people who are either bored with Star Trek or don't actually like Star Trek.

That is so terrible I think it gave me cancer.
i dearly hope this isn't some excerpt from the next season of lower decks.
the levels of cringe from that, even without sound, are beyond what any universe can handle.

Early season DS9 is weird, and has a very different vibe than the show from season 3 onwards.

Dax is written as the aloof science sexy alien woman, and then her character is completely re worked. Rom being the idiot savant isn’t introduced until season 2 if not three. Also apparently Sisko’s dad is dead and then they forgot that.

If you’re binge watching the show chronologically, you’ll probably have a different impression than skipping around watching the main episodes and then the early seasons later(like I did).

I find there's a charm on rewatches of seeing the DS9 gang do Trek stuff instead of DS9 stuff

So apparently Discovery some how made a 5th season. It's coming out in april. Looks like the plot from Indiana Jones in Space.

"The fifth and final season will find Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery uncovering a mystery that will send them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries. But there are others on the hunt as well… dangerous foes who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it."

lol that ratio

Only found out because I saw this from major grin.

Lol this should've been the very first comment but it was down the list a ways.

So they are ripping of the TNG episode the chase?
Ever since someone on here (sorry, I forgot who) pointed out that they had hired trek novelists and that discovery's arcs were straight out of some of the books, I just make it a game now of "which book is this one stealing from."

So... anybody know which one this is?
