What isn't stupid is having "headcanon" to reject the "woke" BS.How retarded. I know a big thing for some Trekkies is that the show is actually the future of humanity, but to go so far as to edit your own timeline to mirror the real world just fucks up the franchise and makes everything a mess. That and including divisive political issues that have no business being in Star Trek is retarded. Goddamn what a way to self-destruct.
2 Star Trek "headcanons" I like:
1: The "official canon" as it was in 1975 plus the animated series (if that wasn't "canon").
2: The "official canon" as it was in 2005, minus that animated series (if that was "canon").
(so the first option is just a TOS world)
I feel like most subscribers of option 1 would consider at least the majority of TOS films to be canon as well. What isn't stupid is having "headcanon" to reject the "woke" BS.
To me, TMP and the 1980s films clash with TAS. Like no life support belts, lack of the less humanoid species, etc. TAS is so out-of-place with the movies and later series.*I feel like most subscribers of option 1 would consider at least the majority of TOS films to be canon as well.
From what I've seen of TAS, it's mostly disposable garbage. Any inconsistency (including the belts) was just added to make it cheaper to animate. I saw the one episode most people consider to be canon though and it was alright though. To me, TMP and the 1980s films clash with TAS. * Besides Nu Trek anyways, which is out-of-place with earlier Trek.
TMP is sorta like 2001, which are both like black coffee: an acquired taste. I don't mind either. Also TAS is very 1970s.TMP was really boring though lol.
TMP is absolutely like 2001. 2001 done worse though.. Problem is I've never liked 2001 @_@TMP is sorta like 2001, which are both like black coffee: an acquired taste. I don't mind either. Also TAS is very 1970s.
Also, there could be a 3rd "headcanon" option to those 2 I listed a few posts ago: just TOS and (some of) the TOS movies.
It's worth it for all the beauty shots of the enterprise and the weird ethnic costumes everyone wore.TMP was really boring though lol.
Yeah I remember all the random space Indians. I guess they're better than the TNG space Indians... Those sucked too. And they made Wesley ans his space child predator into main characters too lol. It's worth it for all the beauty shots of the enterprise and the weird ethnic costumes everyone wore.
Wrath of Khan was a very obvious soft reboot of the franchise after the slog of TMP. The fact that very few people complain about this is an indicator of how well it worked.
There is only one true option here: ignore everything made after 2005. No exceptions. Also, there could be a 3rd "headcanon" option to those 2 I listed a few posts ago: just TOS and (some of) the TOS movies.
I will not give up the Magics of Megas-tu good sir! From what I've seen of TAS, it's mostly disposable garbage. Any inconsistency (including the belts) was just added to make it cheaper to animate. I saw the one episode most people consider to be canon though and it was alright though.
TMP was really boring though lol. I'd kick those both out of Canon and just have 2-4 and 6.
What does Satan need with a star ship?I will not give up the Magics of Megas-tu good sir!
Same thing Spock apparently needs with a pentagram. What does Satan need with a star ship?

Too bad they introduced something else that immediately needed to be "rebooted," i.e. spending a whole movie just getting Spock back.Wrath of Khan was a very obvious soft reboot of the franchise after the slog of TMP.
