Force fields that seem to do naught against "slugthrower" ammo. Cybermen have been shown to be bulletproof. It seems like the Borg just wait for their forcefield to adapt rather than increasing the armor plating.

I'm not generally a comic book reader, but I read it a while back. Iirc, it was pretty good. What if those Borg were "upgraded" to have the bodies of Cybermen from Doctor Who, yet also otherwise had Borg abilities and technologies? Like Cybermen with a green light theme, Borg cube ships, Borg voices, the ability to adapt to weapons, and stuff like that? There was this one crossover comic where the Borg allied with the Cybermen IIRC.
(In Doctor Who, the Cybermen call assimilating "upgrading" BTW.)
The fact that people still defend the lower decks despite it being just as much of a dumpster fire as the rest of modern trek just because it member berries them is still sad to me.>they made Garak and holo-Bashir super gay
Oh for fuck's sake. What happened to Bashir's tomboy-bellyworm-gf? If anything, they should have done that 35 years ago. Jesus fucking Chris. It's all so tiresome.
It is what it is. We'll never get a good Trek show again; not until the post-modern nihilists have been all killed. I for one can't wait that long, however. The fact that people still defend the lower decks despite it being just as much of a dumpster fire as the rest of modern trek just because it member berries them is still sad to me.
I hate everything about thisDS9's legacy being thrown into the gutter by these revolting people

Didn't Andrew Robinson write a Star Trek novel about Garak and made him bi?DS9's legacy being thrown into the gutter by these revolting people

Very possible. I think Ira Steven Behr also claimed many years after DS9 was finished that his original plan was for Garak to be gay, but pushback from B-B-BASED Rick Berman meant that wouldn't happen (this could all be bullshit from Behr who might just be making this up to score points with fags).Didn't Andrew Robinson write a Star Trek novel about Garak and made him bi?
Bashir is straight as fuck. Garak was horny for Dukats daughter on multiple occasions. Shut the fuck up and die CBS/Paramount.DS9's legacy being thrown into the gutter by these revolting people

It's not Bashir from DS9. It's a holographic version from another reality as is Garak, hence the medical uniform. It could be worse, they could have made Nog and Jake gay lovers.Regardless, making Bashir a fag now after DS9 had him chasing women like a horny dog for so many seasons is absurd.
Back in the late neolithicum, Robinson said in an interview he wanted to make Garaks gay as fuck. Which I on its own don't mind. Would have been interesting to see what they do with a Cardassian sexual deviant that was once a quite high ranking operative of what basically was the space-Gestapo. Where it falls apart for me is: Bashir. The guy chased Jadzia, Ezri and a whole lot of other women.Didn't Andrew Robinson write a Star Trek novel about Garak and made him bi?
I consider this a funneh joke and a massive fuck-you to the shippers because as gay-rak says himself it's so incredibly statistically unlikely as to be impossible, gay-rak and fag-shir was always entirely noncanonical only existing inside the minds of those afflicted by homolust and this confirms it. Inshallah we'll get a multiversal holocaust to bring peace to transportercloneoimler.DS9's legacy being thrown into the gutter by these revolting people

My personal headcanon is that Garak is gay as Paul Lynde but bit the bullet and got with Ziyal just to stick it to Dukat.I never really sensed any chemistry between Garak and Ziyal. My headcanon is that Rick Berman made them a couple so he could say, "See? He's all man. You can stop writing us letters now!"
While I'm not a fan in putting gay shit in just because it's gay, as LD just did, from an in-universe standpoint it's justifiable. Both Garak and Holo-Bashir are from alternate universes, so it's possible that both are gay (or bi) while the prime universe Bashir is straight (though I could believe that Prime Garak is bisexual). And from a general wokeness standpoint, having a gay marriage in Star Trek in 2024 isn't that far off of having a negress, a russkie and a chingchong on the bridge of a starship in 1966.It's not Bashir from DS9. It's a holographic version from another reality as is Garak, hence the medical uniform. It could be worse, they could have made Nog and Jake gay lovers.
This is ultra-cope. The LD team straight up threw a bone to the 'BashirxGarak' gay shippers.I consider this a funneh joke and a massive fuck-you to the shippers because as gay-rak says himself it's so incredibly statistically unlikely as to be impossible, gay-rak and fag-shir was always entirely noncanonical only existing inside the minds of those afflicted by homolust and this confirms it. KEEP WINNING Lower Deckers.
Prime universe Bashir is straight (though more awkward than one would expect from a handsome military doctor). On a posting in a system ravaged by war, with a lot of interstellar traffic thanks to the wormhole, he would be able to pick up hash-nosed women and various alien travelers at will.Bashir is straight enough he kind of consent-accidented (let's be honest it was no accident) his mega-autistic patient once she got a semblance of "normality." It is as bad as the second tng episode with Leah Brahams that has Geordi still massively perving over her after she's all "ew you blind freak I'm married," and then finds out shes Geordi's personal spank bank, followed by them just chilling at 10-forward. Both those episodes portray rapey tendncies as positive qualities, two episodes of (real) Star Trek I find absolutely disgusting from an editorial perspective.
Yeah that's kinda funny. But I see what you mean it's like someone got a list of trek memes and then watched the relevant episodes to get the jokes and that's about itWhich was pretty dumb, but got a bit of a chuckle from me
In the 2019 documentary, Behr said how he wished that, after the events of The Wire, Garak had come-out to Bashir as a gay Cardassian.Very possible. I think Ira Steven Behr also claimed many years after DS9 was finished that his original plan was for Garak to be gay, but pushback from B-B-BASED Rick Berman meant that wouldn't happen (this could all be bullshit from Behr who might just be making this up to score points with fags).
