Sometimes I just wanted to watch the Doctor, you know? Rory's just a wet blanket most of the time. But then I remember the RTD and Moffat talk about needing the female companion to be sexy “for the dads,” and it seems the show was just using Rory/Danny/Mickey as a punching bag so the Doctor could look cool.

It’s this super specific archetype which they kept recycling and I guess eventually the fans were like, “Enough."

The docevil one is from FYAD but I remember the Barclay ones were made for the Star Trek General thread and that there should more of them but they were all on waffleimages so good luck getting those.

In my opinion Matt Smith is a malfunctioning muppet. He's miscast in dogshit projects so the cope around him became “he was let down by the writing.”
