I dunno, I stopped watching the movies after Generations. That movie really pissed me off and soured me on anything "modern" in Trek.

After the whole Kirk death thing I was like....fuck...this...shit.
That whole movie was so nasty. They cruelly killed off Picard's brother and nephew offscreen because Patrick Stewart wanted a scene where he could BAWWWWWW cry to show off his acting. The Enterprise-D is senselessly destroyed by technobabble in an unheroic fashion.
This movie soured me on Ron Moore and I never watched anything else of his because of it,
>they haven't touched DS9 yet
>they haven't touched DS9 yet
>they haven't touched DS9 yet

Guys, I'm scared.
DS9 got away with so much because it was the ignored middle child. And it still is. I guarantee you nobody at Secret Hideout has ever actually seen it.

I think they're just skimming memory-alpha for "cool looking aliens" and have never actually watched any of the old shows. This is how you end up with things like the female Fat'Hadar in Academy.

Makes sense. Changelings are villain enough for a TV show. Arguably two if we're counting the Battlestar Galactica remake.

I mean they kinda shit up the Changelings in Picard.
No but, you see, they were experimented on by the federation so that's why they were all fucked up and shit.

Picard was so tonally inconsistent that even the "good" season was still terrible. At least it had the big E on screen.

The Changelings on Picard could be any alien. They’re just goo so Amanda Plummer can be like, “Surprise, motherfucker." It’s literally Star Trek saying, “Remember this? Remember when you weren't depressed and still full of hope?"

The haircut kills me. Weimar Republic-ass haircut.

Her face is fine. Which means she chose that haircut. Odo’s excuse was, “Sorry, I’m made of slime.”

Star Trek
is just out of ideas. There's no twists anymore. I don’t feel surprised, I just feel old.
