DS9 starts to establish there's some gruntsany real ground pounders
It was originally supposed to be a live-action remake with a black girl as the protagonist but then they turned it into a cheap 3D CG cartoon.Well there was a follow-up to The Rocketeer a few years ago in the form of... a Disney Junior cartoon.

I guess there was that buff guy in Siege of AR-558, but it looks like SWAT isn't reintroduced as a concept until Elite Force. There's an alternate, better, timeline where The Rocketeer was a massive hit. Alas, it was not to be for us. I feel like the people that connect with that movie really love it, for me it's in my top 20.
I've always wondered whether the Star Fleet had any real ground pounders. I just can't see you're average Star Fleet security officer as a door kicker. I know that they have the Klingons for that, but surely they would need to have someone or something to fill that role.
I mean, sure, O'Brien has told many a Cardie to put their mouth on the curb, but he can't be everywhere at once.
Shoot, I think I missed the Bajoran one, I need to go back through and find it.Correct. Don't forget about the Bajoran mission. That one was really funny.
Fuck, that's even worse, getting downgraded from remake to preschool cartoon. It was originally supposed to be a live-action remake with a black girl as the protagonist but then they turned it into a cheap 3D CG cartoon.

To save you some trouble, this is the post and the beginning of my Marines greentext that everyone except Syrup likes.Shoot, I think I missed the Bajoran one, I need to go back through and find it.
Bravo did the excellent Vulcan Love Slave Lt. and I did the Pakled Cold War green texts. I've been formulating ideas for a series so expect to see the continued green text adventures soon.I might be entirely wrong (and I am also too lazy to go back and check), but you were the one doing those green texts with 'vulcan love slave' LT and the pakleds, right? Those were amazing.
Can we just have Cullah and Seksa run the ship from now on? Imagine walking through visions and smoke to tell your dead dad that your ex-lover froze your sperm like some Tinder horror story.Watching the episode where Voyager gets taken by the Kazon. It's so stupid because apparently the doors dont lock on the command bridge? And you can't seal each one of the decks off with forcefields to prevent them moving between decks? And dont have arms available for all the crew to fight back in that situation? And you can't tell the computer to beam any Kazon off the ship and out into space? Come on now.

The Ferengi in TNG nearly got away with stealing the Enterprise with a 1,000+ people aboard. Starfleet is just shit when it comes to anti-boarder protocols.Watching the episode where Voyager gets taken by the Kazon. It's so stupid because apparently the doors dont lock on the command bridge? Worf pipes up, whining that Deep Space Nine is less safe than it should be,The Ferengi in TNG nearly got away with stealing the Enterprise with a 1,000+ people aboard. Starfleet is just shit when it comes to anti-boarder protocols.
>be WorfWorf pipes up, whining that Deep Space Nine is less safe than it should be,and then this smug shit Odo just starts rattling off a list of security cocks-ups that actually happened on Worf's watch.

He is right. I made the mistake of trying to watch Discovery, not even going to try the other newer stuff. I'll stick with Enterprise and the shows before that.Project Hail Mary book author Andy Weir trashed the new Star Trek shows on Critical Drinker's channel. It got reported on the Hollywood Reporter. He also revealed they rejected his Star Trek pitch.

The Phantom rocked.the Phantom
We don't really get to see them alot but starfleet does have regular ground troops - aside from the situation you mentioned, they were a big part of the klingon war arc and jake ended up losing his shit after watching one of them die in front of him. There were a few references to special forces in starfleet over the years. The undiscovered country briefly mentioned them and that episode with the psychotic vulcan that was shooting people on ds9 was using a rifle that was in development for themI guess there was that buff guy in Siege of AR-558, but it looks like SWAT isn't reintroduced as a concept until Elite Force.
I'm of the opinion the Federation dares its malcontents into colonization. You want to run a Navajo or Irish Amish ethnostate? We'll help you pack! Want to be free of our restrictions on genetic engineering? We'll let you create your Masterpiece Society if you go beyond our borders. Oh, you decided to become Antifa and destroy your planet? That's not our problem!
I don't think this is an opinion, this seems to be the fact of the matter. The Federation tells people to leave if they want. They'll give you everything you need and send you on your way. Space is big, but you're on your own after that.
I guess I know what movie I'm seeing this weekend.View attachment 8774230
The Phantom was my first exposure to Treat Williams, so my brain permanently filed his ass under “mustache-twirling jungle dipshit,” and ever since then I can’t take him seriously in anything.
