Nana Visitor (lol, stupid name) kinda looks like my cousin.

Mrs Sword was going through a Becker phase recently and I kept calling Terry's character in the show Dax, then showed Mrs Sword a scene from DS9 with Dax in it and she just laughed.

I will go so far as to say that I wouldn’t actually mind a romance story with the Dominion War or something as the background. If it was well written and interesting I’d read it. However this will just be slop, poorly written and drawn slop at that.
DS9 had about three and a half major romance plot threads involving members of the main cast. And in true Trek-tradition, most of them weren't good.

Watching The Motion Picture right now.

God damn what a cool looking movie. The atmosphere is great and everyone that says it's boring is a low IQ mong with an attention span brain rotten from Tiktok and short form content. The effects are awesome. When Vger is zapping around the bridge scanning everyone, the lighting is so cool. Remember when movies looked like movies and not just a long TV show?
I can hear the Enterprise Suite in my head right now. God that that was a beautiful sight. I personally prefer Wrath of Khan for the more down-to-earth portrayal of starship ops, and those uniforms, but TMP definitely has its place.

One of these days, I'm going to finally put together the 1:350 connie I've got mouldering at the back of my office and paint it up in the full-works TMP paintjob, with that insane pearlescent tiling. I've got a half dozen different kinds of nail polish for the job.

Kirk & Riker had more ridges on their bedpost than a Klingon forehead. But that's not really romance. Behr admits "I think we do crappy romances."

Worf and Jadzia was a slow-burn, but that was like...contractual cum? Michael Dorn threatened he wouldn't come back and the execs hit the panic button. I believe Terry Farrell was leveraging her sex appeal for more pay, as well (Fair.)

I wish somebody would edit Stephen Collins out of TMP
Andrew Robinson auditioned to play Will Decker in the first place.

He dodged a bullet. They promised Collins a bigger role (including his history with the bald alien) but Shatner and Nimoy got final cut. He comes off like a hall monitor, which is why he got typecast as busybodies.:story:
